I always find time when the little ones are sleeping, on my lunch at work, before they wake up in the morning or after they go to bed! It is exhausting though at night, because by then, I have lost all my motivation lol. I have a 7yr old and 3yr old little girl. It does get easier the older they get because they love to be involved! I'm sure your 1 1/2 year old would love to "work out" with you!

Hi everyone!! I'm new here. I'm newly married, I have an 8 year old son who is very active. I've worked full time since he was born. I never lost that baby weight :( And my husband would like to start trying for a baby. I weigh more now than when i was 9 months pregnant. So I'd like to lose some weight before getting pregnant. I need to find a balance between working full time, my son, and being a wife. It's a lot!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Michelle and I am a Mommy to a wonder little boy. Before I became pregnant I was at the lowest weight in my adult life and was in the 140s. During my pregnancy I gained over 60 pounds, and 2 years later I still have around 25+ pounds to lose. I have been as low as 162 postpartum and now am in the mid 170s. As much as I want to be a healthy example for my son, and lose all of this weight, I cannot seem to find my spark (see what I did there?). It is becoming a daily frustration and I am just looking for support and motivation to go through this journey. I also have an Instagram account for anyone who wants to follow along mommy_gets_fit1

Welcome to the Working Mom's group! I have been trying to breathe some new life into the group but seems like most members haven't really been around for a while. Anyway, I am here if you need anything. Congrats on starting the new member challenge, challenges are a great way to stay motivated and meet like minded people. I just started a biggest loser challenge today, it's pretty intense but I think it will be awesome and get me to the next chapter of this weight loss journey! So welcome and hopefully we can get more activity here as we keep posting.

Hi I'm on day 9 of the New Member challenge and today's challenge is to join a SparkTeam and write a post.
I'm 40 years old and want to lose 30 pounds to get back to the weight I was when I got married. I have two sons aged 11 and 14 and work full time for a telecoms company.
I have tried dieting before and either give up more or less straightaway or give up when the weight loss slows down. I'm hoping that passing 40 will mean I am sensible enough to keep going when the going gets tough!

Hi Nikki! It is painful when they grow, it just happens faster than you could imagine. I asked my husband if we could freeze our littlest one last night, I'm going to miss them being little. But growing up has some major advantages too! In your 40th year you will be well on you're way to the new healthier you!

In the past I too struggled with slip ups. If I ate one "bad" thing I'd give it all up. This time around is a little bit different and I'm trying to realize it's a lifestyle change not a "diet" change. Also, there is no food off limits. If I binge and eat Oreo's I'm not going to feel bad about it (it might make me sick now) as feelings shouldn't be associated with my food. So, I'm just moving on...it's one day and one meal at a time and I can always get back on track with my next meal or the next day. Anyway, that's what's working for me at this point. Hope we can help encourage each other!

Back at spark after hiatus. Need to get back to basics-starting back at go again. I'm a mom of 3-11,14,&17 yikes- it pains me to say that. Got my 40th bday coming in Nov. I don't expect to be at my final goal, but plan on setting one in the right direction to meet by that milestone for inspiration. My main problem is accountability and consistency. If I have one slip up I want to throw in the towel. Had trouble finding an active team-not quite as chatty as when I was on spark before. It looked like this one had some new life breathed into recently so LETS GIVE IT A GO LADIES!

Cheers! My name is Chelsey and I've been a member of SP for about 7 years on and off. I was very successful before having my 3rd (and last child) as I lost about 100lbs. Now that my baby (lol) is well over 3 now I feel it's time that I started making myself more of a priority. I've realized that I cannot really take care of anybody else unless I'm here and healthy! I've been back on track for over a month now and making great strides to change my lifestyle. I'm a big supporter of small changes over time and replacing not so healthy choices with new healthy ones. As the new leader of this team I'm excited to get this team "active" again.

I have 3 daughters ages 7, 5, and 3. I have a supportive husband and I work full-time in nursing administration. A few months ago we went to a 4 day work week. This has been a great change in terms of getting 4 day weekends every other week. However, those 10 hour days can be long and I don't have much to give at the end of those days. Especially when it comes to making a healthy and yummy dinner. I'm excited to hear about you all and what your strengths and challenges are. I'd like to start a challenge in August and it would be great to see what goals you have? I look forward to getting to know ya'll!

new here looking for support and help i guess.... i have started this "trip" several times over the last 3 years. I am hoping to make it past a week this time. I had a small boost to make me get started. I recently had dental surgery so I was unable to smoke or drink sodas or eat alot the first week. Its been two weeks since and I have only smoked one cigarette (which i didnt like really) and I am back on my vape (still not the best I know but honestly id be nuts prolly without it. and I have not had any soda at all. I have been sticking to mainly water, iced coffee (i know, still sugar....:/) and grapefruit juice or cranberry juice. Also been watching what I eat more (alot has to do with the inability to eat I think but I have turned down several chocolate bars just by telling myself I shouldnt. So yay! lol ummm..... Oh I have 4 kids (11 and 9 year old girls a 5 year old twin boys. I am currently in nursing school and work part time at a gas station (3rd shift, so im pretty active the nights I work) Ive been married for 10 years to my love and supportive husband.

Just found this group while looking for a group to connect with other working moms that understand the struggle between work, family, and weight loss.

Me and my husband will be married 15 years this June, I have three children, two girls ages 12 and 14, and my baby boy who is 7. I work full time for Dell, I am lucky I get to work from home most of the time but sometimes I still have to go into the office. Though I work from home it is all work for those 8 hours and some times longer. My worst thing is making sure I eat, I have recently started Herbalife to give it a shot and see if it helps, give me a little kick in the right direction.

Trying to get healthy so that I can always be around for my crazy family, and I want to feel better about myself.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take some time to introduce myself, my name is Crystal and I am mom, wife & a full-time employee. I have 2 teenagers (twins: a Boy & Girl) that will be graduating this June and a 4.5 year old son that will be starting school in August of this year.

As for my goals, I am going to completely change my lifestyle to improve my overall health and lose 50 lbs while in the process. My mini goal is 10 lbs, as my doctor has advise that I do so to help lower my cholesterol, in which is slightly evaluated. As I am already on high blood pressure meds this is a change I need to make!!

Most importantly...I am doing this for ME.... as I want to feel better about myself and actually like what I see in the mirror every day.

This is Day 10 of me being on SparkPeople and my 1st team that I have joined and posted anything on. I am excited to continue my SP journey and watch as I transform into that truly happy, healthily and lovely lookin momma and spouse that I can be.

Just discovered this group and I'm excited! My husband and I have a 10 yr. old girl, a 4.5 yr old girl, and a 3.5 year old boy. I work full time at a bank and have trouble sitting at my desk all day. But with violin, basketball, and cheer there is hardly time for eating healthy and exercising. Working to change our family habits!

Just introducing myself. My name is Kelly, and I live in the Houston, Texas area.

I have a five year old daughter, a husband, a full-time job, and a fairly healthy volunteering schedule, but very little time for myself. I'm trying to juggle all my priorities and find a way to lose the extra 100 pounds I'm carrying around.

Looking forward to getting to know you all, and getting ideas for how best to manage this crazy-busy life I find myself leading!

Good afternoon! I'm technically not a new member, but I've been away from Sparkpeople for a while now. My scale and fit of my clothes have been reminding me that I need to get back here. There has been some work stress, home stress, college-shopping stress, and financial stress going on, so it's time to make some changes where I can. This is one of them!

My name is Kelli and I live in Northern Illinois (near the WI border) with my husband and three kids (almost 18 yrs, 13 years and almost 12 yrs).

I'm starting again with the small changes and look forward to stopping in here frequently.

I hope you're all doing well. Talk to you again soon!

Take care,

Kelli

Welcome! Please start by reading through some of our threads. We have a weekly check in where we can see how we did over the last week and where we can improve. Also, we have a daily check in where we can talk about day to day things :) I do my best to be on here at least once a day, but obviously we are all working moms...so life gets a bit busy at times! Please let me know if I can help with anything! Happy sparking!
