emoticon I am glad you are back and I welcome you to the working Mom's team. We all do the best we can to support each other with our busy schedules.
I am sure you will be able to work on both the food and fitness plans sometime soon. I wish you well as you adjust to the new job and school activities.

Honestly, I can't remember if I introduced myself way back when I joined the group (probably back in January). My guess is, since I haven't been active in this group, no one else remembers either.

I joined SP back at the end of December with a goal to lose about 20 lbs for a wedding I'm in ... next Saturday. I was doing really back in mid-March. And then? Then I did something I hadn't done in over 13 years: I changed jobs. The change was harder than I thought, and the settling in period threw me for a big loop. I had a hard time dealing with it all, and just let everything drop. I can't tell you what changed recently, but suffice to say I feel more settled and ready to start anew. And, with any luck, I'll be back down to the weight I started at in time for the wedding. (Thankfully the dress I got was big to begin with, so it fits fine. Especially once Spanx come into the picture!)

I also have a wonderful 6 year-old daughter. She just started first grade, and this year we're mixing things up a bit. Instead of 5 days in post-school care, my husband and I are able to work at home and pick her up 3 days a week. Some days she'll just hang out at the house and play (or do homework). Other days she'll do other after school activities (like a little theatre group!). The other days will be back at the after-school care program (which is part of the day care she has been at since she was an infant). Granted, there will be travel and on-site meetings that throw all this for a loop some weeks. But we're just happy we can try to give her some of the after school world other kids her age get.

Anyway, I'm back on the meal-tracking wagon. I need to get back on the regular exercise one. That will come: I need to figure out exactly what our schedules look like and where to slot it in. (I'd rather do it after work, but I tend to work until 5 and then: Making dinner time! I prefer working early in the morning, but maybe I just need to flex my schedule. We'll see.)
