you can do this weight loss thing; i don't know where i read this but it was something like; i can't loose 100 pounds but i can loose 10 pounds 10 times! don't get overwhelmed; i find walking really helps me to trim down, build endurance and just relax! emoticon Good luck to you!

We're here to support. I too recently started getting serious about getting healty. It is a lifestyle change, not just weightloss. I've been meeting with a trainer twice a week and doing two a days. It is not too hard. You can do it!

It has been a very hectic year for you to say the least! For me just walking into the gym/Y is motivating; a lot of positive energy.

You know when you have one of those years? It's wild and crazy and it's all good...I was getting my health and my body back on track in 2009. I started seeing a trainer, I had my thyroid medicated, I was seeing results....and then my trainer moved, my thyroid crapped out again, and the only results I was seeing was exhaustion and weight gain.
Last year I got engaged (getting married this July in Maui) and signed up for the Avon 2day walk in San Francisco (also this July). I was also planning on going back to school at night starting in January 2010 (which I did) on top of working full time.
Needless to say I have been crazy hectic.
Now, the Dr. is starting to stabalize my medicines again, and I'm at my heaviest. 245. I have been battling the same 5 lbs for the last two months. I work/struggle to get it off, and I slip up and all 5 lbs are back.
I'm hoping this site will help me stay motivated and focused. I love the knowledge and inspiration.
Right now I have completely given in to the gym blahs and have allowed myself to enjoy the last week with nary a thought of the gym.
