I really like the idea of completing the Challenges by fitting in short intervals of fitness activity throughout the day. Although I walk on a daily basis, and strength train regularly -- I look forward to "firing" up my fitness routine with something different every day.

I started SP 4/09, but did not really get down to business until 01/10. I am (before tomorrow's weigh'in) at my 50% and moving along.

omg I joined 2 exercise teams today and for the first day in weeks, I know that I burned off my breakfast! I've been on spark awhile, but my weight gain was due to an untreated (now treated) thyroid issue. Now I need to reduce the old fashioned way -- work at it! The illnesses that sidelined me in November are over, and company is leaving today, so I'm getting back into the rhythm with quick fire -- jumping jacks and sit squats!

Hi, my name is Melanie but you can call me Mel. Leapfrog posted a comment on my page and I thought I'd check the team out, I am always looking for new ways to fire myself up. I'm glad I did. I look forward to learning more, helping and being helped on this weight loss journey of ours.

I have about 125 pounds to lose and would like to have 50-60 pounds off by the end of May (my birthday). I've been stuck on a plateau and bouncing back and forth with 5 pounds and I am tired of it. I need something to get me over this hurdle. I hope QuickFire can help me with that.

I'm Caroline and I am on SP since about 3 years. I really need to get my motivation and my fitness boost back and I think this SparkTeam can help me! Since this summer, I lost about 20 pounds but I am on a plateau for about one month or so. I feel that if I don't do something about it soon, I'll just get discouraged and give up.

Thanks to Leepfrog for the invitation to join you; I like the concept of this team!

I joined in late September and met (well, two weeks ago) my first goal of dropping 15+ pounds to get to 172, and, more importantly, to become more active and have a more healthy diet. Those latter two are the most important to me.

However, my second goal to to get under 170 pounds. While getting there, I also need to try to maintain within 2 pounds of the 172 weight. I"m not gonna get excited over 2 pounds up or down (ok, 2 pounds down WOULD be great...).

I've come to realize that I don't often take good care of myself (people have told me that for years, now I'm doing something about it). I also hate regimentation (I'm just a TOUCH rebellious by nature), so I have to fight my sometime-inclinations to stop following a plan.

However, I have a very good feeling about this program and its philosophy and approach. I love what is now called "classic" rock, as well as older jazz and blues, kayaking, A. J. Liebling and kids' picture books, black and white movies, James Joyce and James Brown, and Sadie, the Wonder Dog. Feel free to say "hi!" [insert imaginary picture of someone kayaking here.]

Hi Everyone, I'm new to team and I've been with SparkPeople for a month. I'm so determined to lose my 35lbs. I've been working out everyday walking, working out with my DVD's and dumb bells. Hopefully I can keep up with all of you.
