Hi and Welcome to the team. I also lost a lot of weight on Atkins low carb diet. However, I found that it all came back faster than it went off. I think you'll find Sparks a lot easier to follow and with better results.

Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.

Remember, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Water is the only drink for a wise man.

The best way to cheer yourself is to cheer somebody else up.

Use it up,
Wear it out,
Make it do, or
Do without.

I'm hoping I can actually lose weight this year. I've never been one to exercise, but I love to go for walks. When I was younger, I would walk for 2 to 3 miles several times a week. Now, my stupid knee prohibits long walks, because I have osteo-arthritis. Bummer. I'll have to start slow.

This month, I'll be re-joining my local aquatics fitness center, so I'll be swimming and doing water aerobics there. Maybe I'll be able to go for longer walks if I strengthen my body a bit doing water work.

I tried a low carb diet once...and was VERY GOOD at following it. I lost 40 pounds in the first two months, and stayed on the diet for an entire year without ever losing another pound. In the final months of that year, I started having strange confusion in my brain. So, I had to quit that diet. I need all the brain power I can possibly get! (tee-hee)
