Hi! I'm Alicia! Been Firming on and off since 2004 and my favorite video is Maximum Cardio Burn. It's been a while since I've done a video (one of the reasons I've returned to Sparkpeople, having gained weight) so I'm excited to revisit some of my favorite Firm vidoes!

Imreite, welcome emoticon please post your workouts with us! We love having others checking in on our boards. Strength training is so important for balance and weight management. Even if its just body weight exercises. Muscles make all the difference in how we move and feel

Cheryle51 welcome emoticon please post whatever workouts you do on our boards. We love having others checking in. Wow your children are grown and how have you been doing since your hip surgery? Recovery can get tedious when you're use to moving about.

I am a 60 year old mother of 4 adopted children ages 19 through 27. I am a teacher's aide or assistant at a middle school. I do a good amount of walking throughout the day, averaging around 8,000 steps. I do like to do workout videos on YouTube. I had my Right hip replaced a year ago in February.

I've been looking around for new exercise videos. in the past i have done some firm videos. i like the variation and the intensity, i tend to not strength train enough but i have some firm circuit training dvds. hopefully these will get me motivated to do more strength training

Ugh! The abs section! I can never get through that part! Even the modifications are hard! My plan is to do what I can, and add in Ab sculpt and, if possible, jiggle free abs. Other than that, I am only using 2 to 4 pound weights right now and lower the step for the leg press. Definitely keeping it slow!
Have a good one!

You can always break it up too.
I hurt my back 5 years ago and spent almost 3 years getting back to where I was. I would do a warm up, one sculpt section, one cardio section, then cool down of longer dvds. It would take me all weekbto work thru one. But slowly i rebuilt strength and was able to add on the ab section then another cardio and so on.
Keep at it, go slow, and be mindful
We are here for you

No rotation plan. Just what I am in the mood for. I prefer the step aerobics bc they leave me huffing and puffing. Cardio Scupt from BSS1is my favorite and is always in high rotation. Last summer had a medical alert and felt sorry for myself and gained 10 pounds. So I quit all exercise EXCEPT for speed walking on the treadmill in the winter. Got those 10 pounds off so now Iím adding in the videos. I have to take it slow bc too much, too soon isnít good! Iím just trying to get my body used to the videos again before school starts back and I am really into a routine! Tomorrow is cardio overdrive!!!

I agree about the Firm. It just works. Then instructors are positive and don't make you feel bad about modifying when you need to.

Good luck and post your workouts with us! Either on What did you do today? Or Power of 10. It really is wonderful seeing how many workouts you've done. Or post on both places. Lol. We would love you to join us

Do you have a rotation that you plan to follow?

Hi. I have used The Firm, off and on, for years. I have several videos that I enjoy and rotate. I pulled out a few that are newer to me and I am learning those before school starts back (I am a teacher). I plan on doing a long video M-W-F before school and walk T and TH. Sat and Sun I will walk and if I want to do a video, itís free choice. Thatís my plan. I would like to lose a few pounds but they just want to stick to me! There is something about The Firm for me, I just donít care for other workout programs. This one works for me.

Mamab33, welcome emoticon .

There are lots of beginner and starter rotations in the Rotations section. If you click in the Rotations header it opens up a full page of rotation options. As always, go slow, check your form and listen to your body.

Check in with us and happy Firming emoticon emoticon

HI! I joined the team today because I am about to start using my firm workouts again. It's been years since I have been able to use them. I developed a condition called tarsal tunnel syndrome. I had surgery in September and was just given the ok to start experimenting with activities again. So I pulled out my DVD's and dusted them off today. I plan on getting started first thing tomorrow! If anyone can give me beginner tips I would appreciate it! Even though I used to use my firm workouts it's been a very long time. I'm new all over again. The videos I have are from the transfermer series and the wave series.

Hi! Sorry about the collar bone. Ouch! Glad you decided to come back and try the Firm again. They really do work emoticon

I love them all. My favorites are the pinks. But BSS are great and FE are awesome when I'm busy. I do like the zip trainer to change things up. .... im just a big fan! emoticon

Hi, I started doing the Firm around 2001 but stopped when I broke my collarbone in 2010. While I’ve been doing other workouts (Coffeyfit, 21-Day Fix, among others), I finally went back to the workouts that I love and got the best results from. I’ll start my list of Firms done some time later.

Oh, my favorite Firms are from the BSS1 system.
