HI and welcome.

The most effective way I have found is to make sure that you track your weight. Write down everything you eat. That helps you know what you are taking in. No matter if it is a bite, a lick, or just a taste! It counts for something.
I have a eight month old. I was in the same boat. I was a 12... grew to a 16. Now I am back in the 12, but my body shape has changed a bit. Just know that you will not loose it all in one week.. it takes time. Take your time, and make a decision you are just simply going to change your lifestyle. Little at a time. A pound or half a pound at a time. If you just determine to stay with it inevitably if you follow the plan... count those calories and exercise, the weight will come off. Just make sure you are realistic with your goals and celebrate when you reach a goal. Set yourself a 5% goal... 5% of what your weight is now. If that is 8 pounds, then celebrate when you reach 8 pounds, then set another goal for yourself. Celebrate little victorys and that will help you reach your goal!

You will do great! Hope this helps a little.

Hi All,
I recently gave birth (2 months ago) have a beautiful baby girl. After the high of giving birth and being a new mum I now feel like a beached whale :( when I was pregnant it was different...people knew I was expecting...but now that baby is here...thats no longer the case...

I was a size 12 (5ft 2) before I fell pregnant, I am now a size 16-18 and am determined to lose the weight (in a healthy, sensible manner of course)! I used to enjoy running and worked out 4/5 times a week, I recently re joined the gym and am slowly getting into it again.

I would love to hear from other new mums who can offer me advice/tips on how they managed to shift the weight!

I look forward to hearing from you and good luck x
