Hi, my name is Joyce and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's about 2 years ago. Before developing it, I never had weight issues. I have gained 30 pounds in 2 years and am so frustrated. My naturopath tells me that I have been undertreated and I won't see much change until my hormones are under control. I have been on 60 mg Armour for about a year now after switching from Levothyroxine only due to to my T3 levels remaining low. Nothing like that hypo exhaustion! I recently moved and started seeing my naturopath instead of an allopath. He does not like treating Hashi's with Armour and his reasoning makes sense. He says that our immune system attacks our thyroid and taking something that consists of dessicated thyroid tends to increase the level of inflammation. He wants to put me on Levo and Cytomel instead. I'm tempted to try if I don't start feeling better soon. Anyway, how do you find the motivation to even MOVE on the days of flareups?
