Taking better care of yourself will help you manage your stress and your Hashimotos. By taking better care of yourself I mean eating healthier and exercising regularly. I would humbly suggest to you that you focus on these rather then dwelling on whatever reason you have Hashimotos. This suggestion assumes that your test numbers are within acceptable range and you have a relatively normal energy level. I mention this because I have had Hashimotos over 40 years and know how taking too little medication or too much can make you feel pretty lousy. emoticon

First, welcome. Secondly, for sure stress is a NOT GOOD thing with Hashimotos (or any autoimmune process). So, finding ways to de-stress are crucial. My go-to is walking. Daily. That's my me time.

Do you get your thyroid levels checked regularly? The seasonal change always affects my thyroid.

What is your exercise plan? A little, even 10 minutes a day can make a big difference in energy levels.

Read the information in the different chat forums on this group. It's helpful. Keep coming back.

Love is the root of all things good in life.

i have hashimoto for 8 years and still i am not sure that I am dealing well with it. The doctor says that I am too stressed and this wakes up the inflammation in my thyroid. I gained 10 kilos, 20 pounds, the last year, 18 kilos, 36 pounds since I was diagnosed with Hashimoto.. Still not sure if thyroid has anything to do with itI am glad I found you and I hope I ll find a solution to this mess called thyroid problems.

Life should be fun.
