Hi!! :).

Hi, I joined Spark so that I had a place that I could come to for motivation and accountability. I like that I can log my food and fitness and keep track of my weight and measurements. It is also fun to meet and chat with other people who have similar goals.

I am joining this team because I have a new baby (6 weeks old) and five minutes sounds so doable. I tried for ten minutes each day, but either something would come up or I would just not have the energy. I also like that we are given a challenge -- it takes the brain work out of what to do.

The body achieves what the mind believes.

Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm joining this team because I just deleted my first Spark account and created a new one. Back in 2006 when I first joined I created this team within a week of joining. It was so fun and inspirational to me. My name was Lisasjourney2 and if you go back to General discussion forum, page 3, you'll see my old posts.
This team was based on doing something inspirational and motivating once a day, not necessarily exercise but to clear your mind and focus daily on your goals. I thought I would join again to remind myself to do that. set aside 5 minutes to motivate me:)

I have joined because I am recommitting and I thought some daily accountability would help.

Just for today I will try to live through this day only and not tackle my whole life problem all at once. I can do something for 12 hours that would appall me if I felt I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Hi Everyone: At first I thought this meant 5 minutes of exercise. LOL I wondered how that could do anything. Now I see its not that. Anyway, it sounds like a good idea. And I need all the help I can get. I'm starting to get over my eating at night. I know its early to get to excited but I hope I can overcome this bad habit. It is holding me back from losing weight.

not new to sp - need to get moving and 5 minutes a day is something i can certainly do. I seem to find excuses or other life issues - business/appointments/meetings, cause conflicts.

IROSE99, you are amazing! I have issues with saying no to a glass of wine. Look what you have done, the best way to see your success is to go pick up a 40# weight at the gym or even a bag of dog food. When you pick that up, you will feel the amount that you no longer carry, keep up the good work, you can do it.

Just joined this Team yesterday--I liked the idea of a different challenge every day. Daily routines are a good thing, but varying that routine (by adding a "5 Minute Challenge") is a way to keep things interesting. Sometimes one small change can lead to another small change which can lead to another... Any one of these challenges might be the one that provides the motivation to take that first step towards making that one small change.

hey there! i am motivated at all the wrong times and not motivated at every other point of my day. 5 minutes out of the 1,440 in my day is not alot. i need to force myself to get through those 5 minutes and continue it every single day.. therefore, this is hopefully my perfect place to be. thanks!

I need help on focusing because i cannot exercise at all due to sever health issues but i need to keep trying ! It is verrrrry discouaging ! Any suggestions instead of exercise?

The Lord is my strength and i know i can do better with the Lords help. The Lord laid it on my heart to start a team called GOD ANSWERS PRAYER AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANYBODY THAT WANTS HELP TO LOSE THEIR WEIGHT TO JOIN . I KNOW I CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT THE LORDS HELP !

I like the daily challenges because they are different everyday and all different muscles get worked instead of doing the same thing all the time.

Good morning everyone! I joined this team because I figure if I can sit in front of the TV with my computer on my lap and a glass of Gatorade next to me, I can at least get up for FIVE minutes and do something. I am also going to get my family involved in it. What's FIVE minutes when there are 955 other minutes (waking hours) that we're doing other things.

I joined this team because I felt if I can't put 5 minutes into my health, then I cant expect to have the rest of my life to enjoy it.

I joined spark hoping I would find something more to keep me motivated in the right direction

because I LOVE challenges, and I joined spark people to lose weight, and feel great! tired of having no energy. tired of being asked when I am due and people ASSUMING I am pregnant and people TALKING ABOUT ME behind my back and spreading rumors that I'm pregnant when I'm NOT! I am tired of my lack of self esteem and lack of self confidence and ready to feel good, be able to take care of my kids, and have fun with them without being out of breath all the time. I feel like I have asthma and I am sure it is mostly because of how fat I am.

Hi...I am Karen. Joined Sparks 7/11 of this year. I joined because I NEED to become healthier more active me. More like the Karen I used to be.

I joined this group because I figure 5 minutes a day of just about anything is very doable. Exercise, drinking some water....reading something inspirational. I mean the possiblities are endless.

I figure 5 minutes is good....and in time, Specially with activity...walking, exercise, that the 5 minutes can grow to more and more. WOO HOO!!

Hi I JUST joined you. I have been a member of SP twice. I am back in 2nd time with more motivations looking for the right sort of team to join. I do find a lot are very negative. Like "I have a big Nose lets make a big nose team!" I haven't got big nose and hope there isn't such a team but its to shows what I mean. I don't want to dwell on aliment things that are wrong in my life I want to be positive and accept challenges. I am an unfit oldie so not up to many physical challenges. Oh that sounds like an excuse already!
I am not sure what this team is all about. So please tell me and guide me through it. I am English so often feel a bit remote from you all but love my chats with friends on positive teams.

Hi! This is EXACTLY the group of people I have been looking for!!! I can not get ANYONE motivated on some of the teams I have joined. AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING!!!
I hope maybe there are some other creative minds here that will pitch in and maybe get a MOTIVATIONAL team started. I use to be a team leader for over 2 years at another diet site and am a graphic artist. We use to have a group that did weekly and monthly and goal oriented motivational objections based on a reward system. It worked GREAT! But I need a semi devoted team. We did mini journals, complete with struggles, daily motivation, I would crown a "Queen" or "King" of the week using your Avatar (you could post if you want) for whoever did the best. I also would do a magazine cover for anyone who met their "goal weight" on the ticker. I would even mail a copy for them to frame, just have them pay the shipping, or I would just email it to them for free and they could print it off (alot of people just didn't get very good results) but I do it all for you for free, just for motivating me too!! If anyone is interested, there is more info on my spark page, and we can get a team going here asap. So, LET's DO THIS TOGETHER!! I sure need some help!!

I was actually expecting something to CHALLENGE me, not just a Test to have me exercise for at least 5 minutes a day. I do that as is. I'm not to sure this is a good fit for me. I think I am an overAchiever for a 5 minute unchallenging challenge!
