Last thursday on Jan 2 I started exercising again. Was trying to eat healthier again, yesterday wasn't good since didn't watch what was eating as much so ended up gaining some weight also since exercising so I hope I can start to lose weight. Was wierd I weighed less when not exercising so I'm gonna have to find the right exercise routine and foods to work well. I hope these smart ones from weight watchers isn't making me gain weight; I noticed they had a lot of sodium - eating them for brkfst and lunch and a regular meal for supper so most meals are controlled portions. Also hoping by eating more fruits, yogurt will eventually help. So since last wk I started biggest loser wii game for 20 min and then air climber for 10 min so getting at least 30 min; 5 days per wk. Gonna also do 2 mile run from my wii system per week.

I've been on here a while, but of late have not done much on my wii. I have over the last couple of days increased the use of my indoor bike, but will need to vary the exercises I do to stay the long trail.

I have not been very consistent the last 3 months. I'm excited to join this team,especially after seeing Sheenadee here. My hubby has been painting inside our house. I guess I didn't burn many calories on the sofa watching it get prettier . Lol but it isn't really funny to gain 5 more pounds. Gotta get it moving... emoticon

I can't find a thread addressing my question, and no one else has said not to, so I'm going to log my Wii Sports, Gold's Gym Cardio, and Just Dance times as well, since I'm counting those in my fitness tracker. If I'm screwing up the system, please tell me, thanks!

Hi all! This is probably a lame question already asked somewhere else, but are we only supposed to log Wii Fit minutes? Because I use Wii Sports for Tennis and Just Dance 2 for sweat points, and I'm not sure whether to include those minutes as well? Ta!

hello everyone I'm back finally got me a new wii (neighbor sold me his) and went and finally found a wii fit plus game (kids killed mine both game and system by jamming 3 games all in it at once ) the game wasn't easy to find but anyway so far have played a few things on it and have ran ten mins on it a few days ago but im ready to get started on it. My wii fit age a few days ago was 44 im only 31 so seems I have a lot to improve on emoticon

My name is Brandy. I've lost 48 lbs on the wii 3 years ago doing golds gym cardio Club. My weight is up and down lately. I weigh 138 lbs. Just started the biggest loser 2 weeks ago and so far haven't been eliminated.

Hi everyone my name is Cassie. I just joined spark people today. I was actually a little nervous buying my Wii Fit plus because of the 330 pound weight limit. I am back! I have not been active here, and not so active on the board either...but with the weather turning wintery, I and my kids have been playing a bit more Fit.

Hello, I have been here before and have missed this team. I work out at the gym after work but want to add more time by working out in the morning before work and since I avoid the gym on my off days I need to move on those days as well. I haven't used my wii fit in a while so am looking forward to doing these challenges again,

but sometimes I slack off and dont use it like I should...I lack motivation. I work part time, have my own home biz, and have a 12 year old daughter....sometimes I just like to get home and crash lol

Been away from SparkPeople along time. I reached my heaviest weight ever recently. A lot of that is due to inactivity. The past year I have gained about 20 pounds and had a lot of health issues. I have been diagnosed with UCTD (Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease) and Diaphragm Dysfunction (which causes shortness of breath with little to no activity). These make exercise difficult but I am going to try it in small doses. Wii weighins, body test, Yoga Poses, short walks. I am also using Leslie Sansone videos though I can't do an entire mile, walk at a much slower pace than the video, and don't do all the moves but small steps will get me there just take longer.

WAY too long away from SP....haven't gained it all back, but only 4 pounds separates me from my starting point of a year ago. Restarting, with an "in house partner" this time....my teenage son! He wants to start working on building muscle and gaining weight so he doesn't look younger than he is (and most of his peers are taller than him and he's uncomfortable with being shorter AND thinner). SO.....might not get to this week's challenge, but will be checking back in every morning to see what's up and get us both motivated

last i uses a Wii Fit was two summers ago. Been on the stationary bike but not for weeks not, i was using the free-weights, dumb-bells but not for too many days ago when i try to count how many ago.

Gave up Fries as a side order since. And pursuing those beautiful females that serve me 'em.

I have a Wii fit that was just sitting under the tv stand, actually hadn't used it in 138 days, or so it told me. That was probably the last time I had done any real exercise. I think I have used every excuse, and I do mean excuse, not to do any form of a workout, but am trying to get back on the path of healthy living.

It doesn't matter how slowly you go, as long as you don't stop!

I have noticed since I have gotten back on my Wii Fit I just feel so alive.It's fun and challenging. I love to do the bubble balance exercises, makes me mad when it pops. I use to run years ago with my mom and so I like to do the different running lengths. Has anyone tried any of the Mario and Sonic games or the Wii Resort games for exercise?

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I lost 15 pounds several years ago using the original WII Fit. I had committed to no less than 30 minutes and no more than 60 minutes each day. During that time, I created a great workout, but have since lost it. It was my introduction to fitness as I had previously not been very active. I've been dealing with an injury the past few months and have been unable to exercise at all and I'm in no shape to take on a strenuous program. Besides, the Wii is just fun and exercise doesn't seem like a chore! I'm looking forward to being part of this group.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Lesli. I am a single mom to a 4yo boy, Ronan. Right now he gets more use from the Wii than I do because he's addicted to the Sports programs. He loves to golf and play tennis. I'm lucky if I can weigh in before he wants it. I also have multiple sclerosis which sometimes limits my outside time. Hence the Wii :). I have several workout games including Golds Gym Cardio and Zumba. I would like to be able to utilize these more as well as the Wii Fits.

I just joined this group and thank you, Merle for the warm welcome and the email about this week's challenges. I use to be rather active on my regular Wii Fit but when my guys gave me the Wii Fit Plus, I had not been using the Wii as much for working out so I really appreciate learning more about the program from the challenge as well! I just joined this group. I love my WII. It is the easiest form of exercise to stick with that I have found.. I my be blind but I can't find the challenge that has been issued for July. My name is Liz. I'm 64 so the WII is a realistic way to exercise. I like most of the games on WII Fit/PLUS.

We now have a Wii in two rooms so I can no longer use the excuse that my daughter is watching tv to not get my Wii time in. I'm resparking my journey this week. I've regained about half of what I lost in 2011. I need it gone. So I'm back.

S - Start slowly, set yourself up for success
T - Try new things, don't say you can't do something or don't like something before you have tried it.
A - Add movement everywhere, walking farther, calf raises while waiting in line, etc.
R - Realize that you are human & will make mistakes
T- Take time to recognize your successes - celebrate!

Hello,

I joined SparkPeople 2 weeks ago. My son gave me Wii Fit Plus when I mentioned being interested in one (he's such a great guy!). I really like it.

Hi, I've been on SP for about 2 months, but had dusted off my Wii about 3 months ago. I love it! My favorite is the running and finding new paths.
