If you are downloading her 100 days journal, you will find an activity for each day. I do mine in my personal OneNote journal, some people do them here in this forum, and others blog about them. If you want to save on paper and printer ink, the Journal is a PDF that you can read from and then write your answers on notebook paper.

1) obtain the 100 Days of Weight Loss book (ok to just follow discussions)

2) Pick your Meal Plan (aka your diet approach)

3) Write your List of Reasons you want to lose weight

4) Check out the other activities and ideas from Linda in the Quick Start guide (link below)

5) Blog about the challenge, invite a friend, find a support Buddy

There is a discussion thread for each day in the Lessons forum, just scroll through the forum to find the day you want. You are welcome to join the current discussion any time, and/or work through the daily lessons at your own pace. The first 10 days are about motivation and help us get on a roll.

Gather your Meal Plan (diet) supplies, pull out your gym shoes, stick a few water bottles in the refrigerator. Make sure you have things in place so youíre set to really make the challenge successful.

Hereís a few other suggestions from Linda for setting up your 100 Days Challenge
ē Remove tempting leftovers or open food packages from the refrigerator.
ē If possible, get rid of snack foods, including chips, cookies and crackers.
ē Empty desk drawers and work area of candy bars or snack items.
ē Get a supply of diet sodas, instant bouillon and non-caloric drinks.
ē Make a list of nurturing activities that donít involve food.



emoticon The 100 Days of Weight Loss book format is nice with a short daily chapter about 1 skill or idea to ponder for the day.

Here's some excerpts about the book study from Linda Spangle's email newsletter shared with her permission in the newsletters (as shown below :) She recommends preparing with these things:

Getting ready

To use the 100 Days concept effectively, you need to do a few
things ahead of time.

1. Pick your plan

Decide which diet, program or concept you will use for losing
weight. Whether itís a national program such as Wt. Watchers or
your own recipes and exercise plan, make sure you are clear about
your choice and how you will follow it.


2. Get the 100 Days book or another method

While itís not required, having the book will make it a lot easier for you to do the daily lessons. There is a discussion for each day in the Lessons forum.

3. Write a list of reasons

Take out a piece of paper and write a list of 10 reasons WHY you
want to lose and maintain your weight. This might include things
such as feel better, have more energy, improve health, have
better self-esteem.

After you complete the list, turn your paper over and write
another ten reasons WHY. Dig deeper this time, listing items such
as wearing a bathing suit or other things you may have been
avoiding.



4. Get these forms

Print out the Quick Start Guide and the 7 Keys to a Successful
Challenge. These are available at no cost on this site:

Fill out the questions on the 7 Keys worksheet so that you are
totally ready to start your 100 Days challenge. Iíll be sharing
my own answers early next week.

The daily studies include links to when Linda worked through the book. Even if youíve used the 100 Days book before, jump back in for a refresher. It can be a powerful tool for motivation and to deepen your commitment to yourself and your goals.
