Year after year, we all attempt to start out differently, and then life throws its curveballs and we lose our steam. That is why we have to grab it NOW and hang onto it! You want to change. I want to change. We all need to change. and right now we're all thinking about change, but what can we actually do about it? How about we do what we know but change it up! REVAMP it. Because what we know is what we've always done. What we have always done has given us the same results, or should I say the same non-results.
Are you willing to do something different with me? After all, if we want something different, we have to do something different, right? Then together let's make a commitment to real change. All we need from each other is continuing support and encouragement.

It's The Climb!

There's always going to be another mountain
I'm always going to want to make it move
Always going to be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna to have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing,
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes they knock me down but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm going to remember most yeah
Just got to keep going
And I, I've got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
Keep on moving
Keep climbing
Keep the faith baby
It's all about
It's all about
The climb

This team is all about taking one day at a time and helping those who struggle with staying motivated, etc on a daily basis.

You know one morning you wake up and you're charged, revved nothing can take you down and you get through the entire day with no trouble at all and you feel on top of the world all day long, and we have your back! But then the next morning you wake up feeling the complete opposite and have no earthly idea why, but you lost your drive and determination you're emotions are just totally in control/out of control. That's when we'll have your back.
We're here for the good, the bad, and the ugly, the highs and the lows and lowest of lows.
to help keep us motivated, to never quit quitting!

And by all means, if you are excited about something, or have valuable information to share, or are feeling challenged about something and need extra support, POST IT, POST IT, POST IT!
Also, If anyone has any ideas for challenges that you think would benefit the entire team's weight loss journey, shoot one of us a spark mail with your idea and we can work together on it. Or if anyone has a topic of interest go ahead and post it in the Discussion forum. We want your participation, ideas, tips etc.
So Cheers! Cheers to real change!
HERE WE COME WHETHER YOU'RE READY FOR US OR NOT!
WE WILL BE THERE WITH YOU EACH STEP OF THE WAY!

So what are we waiting for????? COME ON GET INSPIRED AND ON FIRE WITH ME!
Let's FINALLY DO IT AND GETTER DONE!

THIS MEANS WAR AGAINST FAT:
I'm too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, and too determined to be defeated.

Please consult your physician before starting or modifying this or any diet and exercise program.

The following list of medications and conditions require specific medical supervision and or action and considerations before starting any diet:

Aneurism: If you have had an aneurism please consult your doctor and receive medical clearance before starting any dramatic change in your lifestyle.

Angina: Angina is a general term for chest pain which can be caused by any minor or major factors. If your angina is a result of a heart beat irregularity or congenital defect, please show this program to your physician before continuing.

Anti-depressants: Certain anti depressants can slow weight loss for some people. You will lose weight with the medication, and should continue to follow your doctor's advice. You understand you should never start or stop any medication without your doctor's approval.

Any transplant patient: dramatic changes to biochemistry can result in additional strain and could adversely interact with anti-rejection medication.

Anyone age 16 to 18: with parent and physician approval only. Tools To Life does
not knowingly approve membership for those under 18.

Arrhythmia: This condition may be adversely affected by a diet that has a diuretic effect due to the loss of electrolyte balance. Make sure you salt your food and never eliminate check with your physician prior to starting this or any nutrition and exercise program. carbohydrates from your diet if you have a severe case of cardiac arrhythmia. Stay in
contact with your physician during any diet.

Breast Feeding (Nursing): Please see Pregnant.

Cancer, Ongoing: It may be best to have a nutrition specialist customize a program for you. Healthy diet and especially exercise are a very important part of cancer recovery. However, high protein diets can increase acidity in the body without proper balancing with green vegetables. It may be beneficial to reduce the amount of protein by 25% and increasing the amount of green veggies by at least 50% and maintain 15 to 20 percent of calories from oils in your diet.

Cardiomyopathy: a weakening of the heart muscle (myocardium), which usually causes inadequate heart pumping. Studies have shown that if you have any severe heart disease, it may be dangerous to undertake a sudden change, even for the better, in diet and/or exercise. Maintain some added salt in your diet and eat a carbohydrate with each meal to avoid the “depletion” effect. Contact your physician before you begin.

Combination of diuretic and beta blocker: This combination can be dangerous when combined with exercise because the beta blocker will lower your blood pressure quickly to cap the elevated heart rate. We recommend starting the diet only after one of the medications can be eliminated by working with your doctor.

Congestive heart failure: Please seek approval from your cardiologist and see Nitroglycerine.

Constipation (chronic): Please reduce the amount of protein by half, increase oils to 15 percent of your total calories, use fish and egg whites as proteins where you can as they are easiest to digest, make sure you have plenty of fiber from fruit and veggies, and stay hydrated with the recommended 100 ounces of water per day.

Crohn's Disease: See Ulcerative Colitis.

Diuretic: Please show your program to your doctor as the diet will diurese you and the physician will need to modify medications as needed.

Dry skin, hair or lips: Add 1 teaspoon of oil to at least THREE of your meals and incorporate salmon, bass and other oily fish into your protein consumption each week.

Embolism: Studies have shown that dramatic improvements in nutritional lifestyle habits can dislodge plaque deposits that can act as an embolism. If you have a history of embolisms, please consult your cardiologist.

Fibrillation: This condition may be adversely affected by a diet that has a diuretic effect. Make sure you salt your food and never eliminate carbohydrates from your diet if you have a severe case of cardiac arrhythmia. Please check with your physician.

Gall bladder removal: Sometimes removing the gall bladder influences the way your body processes protein. Please consult your physician, and possibly reduce the protein per meal by half.

Heart attack: Please make sure you have completed your cardio rehab program and receive medical release from a cardiologist prior to starting the nutrition or exercise component.

Heart rhythm medications: Anyone taking heart rhythm medication should consult their doctor prior to starting the program. The diet has a diuretic effect and may affect electrolyte levels. It is recommended that you keep your daily sodium intake between 1700 mgs and 1900 mgs and supplement with an electrolyte solution such as Alacer brand Electro Mix or EmergenC. Gatorade and other sports drinks typically have too much sugar and sodium and are not advised.

Herniated disc: Nutrition component has no effect, however, please double check the exercise portion with your physician.

Hiatal hernia: Nutrition component has no effect, however, please double check the exercise portion with your physician.

Kidney conditions (kidney stones, history of renal failure, kidney removal, etc): Reduce the amount of protein by half.

Laxative Abuse: Please show the program to your physician for clearance. Upon beginning the program, pay careful attention to your bowel movements. If you skip a bowel movement for 36 hours, see your physician.

Lithium: Talk to a physician about any program that may have a diuretic effect. This can be dangerous when taking lithium because the lithium could fill the potassium receptors in the brain causing severe side effects.

Nitroglycerin: Causes an unsafe decrease in blood pressure and is not suitable for use with this diet. Pease consult your cardiologist prior to starting any change in lifestyle. A caloric based program may be more beneficial.

Nursing: Please see Pregnant.

Perforated Colon: Please see Ulcerative Colitis.

Pregnant or Nursing: If you are pregnant, please do not modify your eating habits. Instead follow the recommendations of your physician. It is not advisable to restrict fats or calories in any way when nursing (breast feeding) or pregnant.

Ulcer: Please show the program to your physician before starting.

Ulcerative colitis, Perforated Colon or Crohn's Disease: Please show this program to your physician, because of the amount of green vegetables which can cause irritation to a sensitive colon. It may suffice to steam or boil your vegetables, or you may need to eliminate most or all of the roughage as it would place undue stress on your colon.
