Good morning from the great state of Texas! My name is Sue. I am not sure what I was thinking, but I just signed up for the Alamo Half Marathon in San Antonio in April 2018. Thankfully, I have a lot of time to train and this won't be my first HM. However, this past March I caught a cold that led in to a sever upper respiratory infection with a sinus infection and eventually pneumonia. Before that, I was running 8-10 miles regularly. Unfortunately, when I finally recovered I April, I found myself in the middle of a relocation move and by the time I got settled and back on track I slipped to barely pushing out 5 miles. So, here I am, back in training mode. My HM PR is 2 hours and 4 min. I would LOVE nothing better than to beat that time with a sub-2 hour finish, but will be happy to finish moving forward on 2 legs. My biggest obstacle when training for the last HM was my ravenous appetite. I found that I was hungry ALL THE TIME!! Hope to pick up on some good tips and advice on how to battle and conquer that.
