Brand new here and looking for support and advice. 52 years old and 45 lbs down from my highest ever weight of 305. I've been walking 5x or more a week for the past two months for at least half an hour per session. I have NEVER been in-shape and I have NEVER run anywhere (barring the forced high school gym class). A few weeks ago on a private back country road, I picked my brisk walk up to a jog. I ran (slowly but I ran) 100 steps. A few days later I did 250 steps. Then 400. I rewarded myself with real (Brooks) running shoes instead of my typical $20 sneakers. I feel like most people cannot relate to my specific challenges and am hoping this group might be able to.
