My name is Tina B and I just signed up with SparkPeople today. Today is also day 1 of me starting a low-carb way of life. I am 58 years old and have 5 grown children (and 6 grandchildren). A gym is too far away, but I do have a treadmill and I plan to research how I can shape up at home. At my last doctor's appointment, I learned that my sugar is pre-diabetic, and my cholesterol is going up as well. My joints ache, and I'm not ready to give up.

I am seeking others to connect with for motivation and sharing ideas.
