Hi all; I am a newbee; I joined a week ago. I live in Santa Ana across from South Coast Plaza. I am exercise challenged as I am recovering from major surgery in Dec followed by four weeks of Chemo. I am finally feeling good, and ready to exercise. I know I have to go at it slow and not over do. Any one interested in being a walking buddy in my area would be terriffic.

Hi everyone: Heard about this site as a result of Oprah yesterday. Just lost 35 lbs. through a clinical trial, and today was my last day. Sooooo, I need a support team as I still have about 20lbs. to go. Signed up at Mile Square park to walk a mile a day, drink 8 waters a day, and no eating 3 hours before bed. I'm motivated.

Hi All!

I'm sort of new, well I originally joined back in '06, finally taking weight loss and fitness seriously. Working out is much easier then getting eating under control. Since I'm not a cook fast food or anything microwaveable is on the menu. Loving this website and only have 1 big question - where do you get the trackers that I see on so many postings? emoticon

Hello everyone,
I am new to the Spark and am still working through the site. I have loved the food tracker and have spent most of my Spark time there tracking what I eat. Now I want to spread to other parts of the website and see who else is here. I am a single 30-something living in Santa Ana with one fit roo mate and one unfit room mate. So I am trying to be another fit room mate but its slow going. :)

Hey there. New but not that new as I joined Spark sometime last year but am just now getting around to taking it seriously. Would love to hook up with anyone in my area looking for a workout buddy with serious pounds to lose. I'm a SAHWM of two boys and I also home school my oldest one. I've struggled with my weight all my life. My healthiest weight was when I was in high school because I was active in Cheerleading and able to keep fit. My 20 year reunion is this year and I want to finally lose this weight so I can knock them dead. Looking forward to meeting new buddies. :o)

Hi! I'm so happy to have found this free service! After reading the stories on the Today Show Page this morning, I was smacked in the face with the fact that there is absolutely NO reason that so many have been successful, while I'm still here doing nothing. Although I haven't ALWAYS been doing 'nothing', I can definately do more, and stick to it.

I tried Weight Watchers Online, and really liked the format, but kinda fell off the wagon sometime this summer. I had some success in walking with a buddy EARLY in the morning (I have to be at the office by 7:30am), but he couldn't keep up with the early morning hours, which left me an excuse to sleep in.

The past couple of years haves been one studded with loss for me, as well as for many close to me. The loss I feel most prevalently is that of my grandmother, who passed away last April. I hope to allow these losses to fuel my personal struggle - if only by serving as a reminder that life is so very short.

Hi everyone,

I am back to tracking my fitness and food intake. I am mom with a toddler that keeps me pretty busy. But would love to find a friend to walk in the am or pm with. I live near downtown. Hope to hear from you.

Hi Santa Ana sparkers! i am curretnly looking to lose 40 lbs but I am starting with a mini goal of 10lbs. I am currently at 183lbs. I have tried it all, pills, weight watchers, personal trainers you name it I've done it. So i'm trying out spark and hoping to find local weight losers to help me find good places to eat and excersize and I too can share my thoughts and expertise on this journey of weight loss.
