Morning, Team!

I have started this morning and will check out the nutrition area. A couple of you have mentioned keeping track of what I eat, so I will look into this idea.

Mondays I have a long day at work, so eating can be tricky. But if I pack my lunch or bring a couple snacks, it usually prevents a 'melt-down' when I get home at 8:30pm.

Exercise is a BIG help! Just park the car at the end of the parking lot and walk in farther. Wear a pedometer so you are motivated by your extra steps.

And, there's no time like today to get started! Good luck!

HI all

I actually joined mid-May but have not done anything since then :(

I keep putting off my start date but I have given up fast food for the last month or so. That helps me cause then I need to pack my lunch for work.

I want to get into a regular exercise routine also.

Welcome to both of you. Remember you are on a journey and we didn't put the weight on overnight. It takes time and one step at a time. Believe in yourself and know that this is going to show you how to change your life style and your eating habits. We are all here for you. Write me if you need encouragement. I've been through the good and bad and still have some backwards days.

Hi and welcome to this great team where you will find lots of information and tons of support and encouragement from all our members who are or have been where you are now. You will find that we also have fun along the way. Drink your 8-8oz glasses of water a day, watch your portion control and walk. Use your fitness and nutrition tracker daily. These tips will definitely help in lowering your numbers. Don't expect miracles right away...this is a lifestyle change not a diet. You will be much healthier in the long run. Post any concerns, comments or questions you may have and someone will respond quickly. Set up your Spark page if you haven't done so already so that we can visit and get to know you, send you spark goodies, and leave encouraging and supportive comments to help you along the way. Post often and have a great time.
This is a link to the Getting Started Guide which should be of great help to you: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/get_star

If I can be of any help to you, please let me know with a spark mail or a comment on my page. I am here for you.
God bless you on your journey to a healthier you.
Hugs,
Helen

SparkPeople is the place to be. Here it isn't about losing weight. It is about getting healthy, and helping each other get healthy. don't worry about past failures or rest on successes of the past, either. You are among friends. We will do it together! Stay connected. Use the tools. Glad you are here!

Welcome to the both of you! We all understand and relate to what you are saying.. The first thing I did was go to the start page under "My Tools" and started to track my nutrition- if I ate it I posted it... that way I could see my eating patterns.. I also drank (and still drink) at least 8 glasses of water a day... Start slowly, it can be overwhelming- we are all here for you!

HI

I am new to the Spark Team and I also am a Weight Watcher drop-out. I can't seem to stay on a diet and I eat alot often.

I don't know if we can help each other but I really want to lose some weight. I am embarrassed by the way I look!

Well I think we've all been there. If it was easy we'd all be skinny.
Just know that the information is here on this site to help transform you. All you have to do is reach for it.
I just click on everything. Information is power.

emoticon I find it hard to find time to exercise I spend so much time reading everything. I'm sure that's not what this site intended.
