I came back a week ago. This time I watched an episode about how excess sugar can have a toll on your health whether your thin or fit or not. Many of the symptoms the doctor had on the show I have. I decided to try that. It's not even about cutting out sugar completely, just keeping under a certain amount. It's 6 tsp for women and 9 for men, that translates to 24g and 36g, though on the show it was averaged to 29g/person. I decided to try it with planned days "off." I lost 7lbs in the first week, though my first day off I learned more. I felt horrible, almost like I had the flu. I am on for the 21 days recommended now. I hope this is the start I need. The show was The Doctor's #drop the sugar challenge. I'm okay now to plan the holidays differently. I hope this helps. You can go and see the episode on Facebook.

I'm back, again. I cycle through sticking with my goals and letting them slide. Every time I think, this is it! I'm going to accomplish all my goals! I can do it!

And then I don't.

I don't know if this time is really different. I have some different health concerns than I used to have. GERD is giving me a punch in the gut with a side of heartburn. I'm trying to adapt to a lifestyle without caffeine, hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate), alcohol (I was never a big drinker, so that's not a huge loss), fried foods, tomatoes, spicy food, and anything too fatty. The good news is I've cut down on caffeine, but the bad news is that one cup is one cup too many for my belly.

So I have some challenges, but one more reason (GERD) to get the pounds off.

Thanks for reading, and have a great week.
