Welcome back! I can relate to you on so many levels. I recently moved to New Mexico (I'm from North Carolina) with Teach for America. I am teaching freshmen algebra I so it definitely takes up all of my time.

There are so many things I want to do in my twenties, but I want to lose the weight so it's not holding me back from being even more fabulous. emoticon One of my dreams is to look stunning in my wedding dress and photos, and I just want to be at my goal weight for that time in my life, when it comes.

Anyways, I hope we can motivate each other!

Definitely NOT trying to be offensive in my Topic Line, I just LOVE Elton John (I saw him at Caesar's Palace last year and he was amazing!). If you read my SparkPage, you'll find that music is really important to me and I am always quoting songs (even my username comes from a song).

I have been a member of SP for almost 3 years now, but just recently set up a brand new account; a lot of changes have been going on in my life: I switched careers (from teaching middle school to being a network engineer...yea, not a big leap at all! emoticon ), I moved from Southern Utah, where I had been living for the last 4 years, to return to my home state of Minnesota (and just in time for winter!), and this is the first time in my life when I have lived more than 2 hours away from my parents (they're still in So. UT). As a 26 year old woman, I guess that last one doesn't seem like a big deal, but I'm really close to my parents, so it's been rough.

I had lost 50 pounds over the last two years, then slowly started gaining it back, until I moved in July, and since then I have gained the rest of it back (that's 30 pounds in 5 months emoticon ). So here I am, back at my heaviest weight, and ready to start over. I am trying a vegan diet for the next 30 days (and hopefully longer), so if you're interested in hearing what that's like, check out my SparkPage.

There are so many things I want to experience in my twenties, and now, at 26, I realize I am running out of time! A lot of what has been holding me back has been my weight and, therefore, a lack of self-confidence. I want to be that smart, confident, beautiful, fit, fun, twenty-something girl. And I AM going to be her! emoticon
