Have you ever read Joyce Meyer's book, "Battlefield of the Mind"? It's excellent and may be just what you need at a time like that. When I am in a downward spiral, I make sure that I do something that helps me feel more connected to Christ. He gets me through because I could never do it on my own. Blessings,

Today has been a little better, although I had to cancel my appt with the therapist because of the weather (he's 45 min away over back roads). We got approximately 4 inches of snow over night. The soonest I can get in to see him again is Janaury 20. That seems really far away right now. I called and left him a voicemail, I'm hoping he'll call me back today.

Praying for you!

Do you have any distractors that you do? When I feel myself getting feeling like that I color or crochet or paint or bake. I've found that, for me, doing these things helps distract me, even if it is just for the moment, and gives me some relief.

I will pray for you. Father, please allow the Holy Spirit to comfort this dear sister, allow her to get back on track with her medication, allow her to bring her thoughts into focus, to be positive,
To think on that which is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Phil 4:8. Father give her peace, grace, comfort, calmness, and strength. Allow her to focus on who she is in Christ. And bring about great change for her. Amen.

I am really struggling right now. I've tried distracting myself to keep my thoughts at bay, but it's not working. I goofed up this week and missed several morning doses of my meds due to sleeping in and being out of routine. Then, I ran out of my OCD med and have been trying all day to get it refilled but am not having any luck. Considering it is now 5:00, I assume I won't be able to get it filled. I'm having thoughts of cutting, but I really don't want to act on my thoughts. I haven't done it for some time now. And, I really want to stop that. But, it's becoming overwhelming. My hubby is asleep right now, so I'm basically alone. I've tried playing computer games and journaling, but journaling was spiraling me downward, so I stopped.
