I totally understand where you are coming from! Using excuse after excuse to not exercise. Maybe get some of your family or friends involved and workout with them! I workout and have goal setting sessions twice a week with a few friends (also fellow SPARKPEEPS). It helps to have encouragement from others in all aspects of your life, not just from this wonderful website! Make it happen!!!

Hi guys,

I've been reading a few messages on the site and see that a lot of you have many of the same challenges I do. I'm a big dude and even though I'm pretty active (softball, baseball, golf, bowling), I never seem to lose weight. I know part of it is the fact that I have diabetes (type 1), and an underactive thyroid but I think I've been using both as an excuse for too long.

I binge eat at times and make too many excuses to skip workouts. I'm hoping this site can help me to stay motivated and concentrate on what I need to do to get back to the weight I was at in my early 20's. My goal is to get down to 225 lbs from my current 325. I'm not looking at doing a "diet plan" and "exercise plan". I need to make a full-scale lifestyle change and make eating right and working out part of my daily routine.

I look forward to "meeting" some of you other members. :)
