I feel ya with the whole sweet tooth aspect. I too love my sweets, and I am attempting to lessen them from my life, not eliminate. That's where I got into trouble before. I hope you the best!

Creaturegirl,

I have sweet teeth! emoticon .

I do agree with the other post that if you can get moving more it will be more energized. How about giving yourself a challenge. For every sweet treat you eat you do something healthy in return. Like find a way to get in a quick walk or add a healthy snack perhaps a fruit option like clementines.

Your post didn't mention if you are married, but if so ask hubby to pitch in with working with the young ones so you can get in some you time for exercise. Oh and as you arrive to your destinations while working, park further away from the entrance to add more steps to your day.

Hope this helps!

I would think the combination of needing a CPAP and RLS would make it difficult to rest well. That and driving a lot during the day would wear me out. Good luck.

As contradictory as this sounds...if you move more you'll have more energy. Not in the first week or so, but it definitely comes with time. Try starting off slow...do just 10 minutes of walking in the evening for a week or two, then add more time.

Sweet tooths are hard. I have one myself and I try to just limit myself to 1 thing a day...so you really have to make the choice count and you also have to make sure you really LIKE what you are eating. I used to eat any cookie that was in front of me, but now if I don't like that type I don't.

Hi, I joined Spark People at the advice of my doctor. I just turned 39 and I am probably 80 pounds over weight. I spend a lot of time in the car as part of my job and have found that to be very bad on the waist line :(
In addition to all of the driving, I have sleep apnea and restless leg syndrome (RLS). I have been using a CPAP for about 5 years. By the time I get home from work, fix dinner, get the kids settled and feed all of the animals, I am too tired to do anything! To top it all off, I have a KILLER sweet tooth! I need all the suggestions I can get to boost my energy level and overcome the sweet tooth!
