8) Chose a healthy high fiber breakfast and then when I got hungry again chose a nice low cal snack instead of pigging out on the chocolate in the break room.

9) Got all my water in and stayed with my calorie range

10) spent time with my sons bonding as a family

FAJ - When I wake up in the morning I drink a full glass of water. When nature calls I drink another glass etc etc. It helps to remind me every time. The other trick I found that works is I fill a 32 ounce bottle to the brim with ice then pour in the water. It stays really cold and tastes really good. I find when I do that for a couple of days in a row I begin to crave water.

We don't have to do this alone. With our eyes focused on Him all else will fall into place.

22) My DD wanted to go out for a treat to celebrate her first BB Game WIN. We used to go out for pie, last year. This time I chose starbucks and ordered a NONFAT LATTE with SUGAR FREE FLavoring. I wanted the CHOC. Chip cookie (one bite) but turned it down too!

23) getting in 30 more min on the tread because I was short on time this a.m. :)

24) Made a Weight Watcher Recipe. It was okay. I probably won't choose it again, but will freeze portions and eat it for lunch on other days.

NICOLERYANL: Hey aren't you reading YOU ON A DIET? That is something too! :) Drinking water, going through your cupboards, getting rid of the food that you shouldn't be eating. :) You will be working out in no time!

Jennifer: I love that salad Idea. Absolutely love it. Now how long have we been on the same Cranberry team and I have NEVER heard of this until NOW! :) I swear, it is almost genius level. The simplest thing, and yet, I had never thought of it! :)

7-posted on the boards to encourage others and myself

I feel so bad! like im not accomplishing enough right now, but as soon as my recovery is over I'll be able to add things like working out and staying within my cal range to the list! I'm definitely within it, all i eat is soup and drink gatorade! HOW BORING! lol

Jane, that is SO true about where we will spend our money. I don't think twice about dropping $20 at Taco Bell for the family, and that's only one meal. My gym is running $32 and that's for a whole month. Duh!

I LOVE challenges and I LOVE tracking progress. Forget about the negatives - sounds like a plan.

Starting today:
1. Ate high fiber breakfast
2. Banana mid-morning snack
3. Healthy lunch - even cut out the cheese on my salad

Jane--I simplified my life completely by making "Salad bags" I take my lettuce measure it out and put it in a quart size ziploc bag, I measure out my cheese into a small snack bag, my chicken into a small bag and my salad topping into another small bag and then I throw them in a gallon size ziploc bag so all I have to do is grab a bag in the morning.

I also have my baby carrots counted out and in bags.

It just makes life so much easier.

20) Almost forgot this one, RENEWED my membership at the gym! I always say what a "waste" of money it is. LOL..I guess it is, if you do not go. I caught myself saying this, then said, but I will spend $40.00 on a movie with the kids. I am taking them swimming tomorrow night! I just have to schedule this kind of family time IN!

It's never too late to join this thread. As a matter of fact, I thought, what will I do when I get to 1000. I think I will start over again, even when I hit my goal, it is a lifestyle that I must keep up.

Jennifer, that is great about packing your lunch. I need to "work" my veggies so they are clean, and sliced so I will actually choose them. :)

Georgena, I think it is great that you are keeping up with your nutrients. I use WW points mostly, but I have been trying to input daily as well, to keep me focussed on calories and nutrients.

ZOLVASLIFE: I have such a hard time getting that water in, any good tricks you use?

#1 subscribed to this thread and joined the challenge!
#2 took a nap this morning when i needed it (instead of just barreling through the day)
#3 tried a fruity carrot salad for lunch

6)input my food for today with out looking at calorie total until had it all in to see how well I was choosing now. It came to 1221-I did have to go back and make changes to it in order to get my copper and magnesium all in but it had 100% of all the other vitamins and minerals.

17) Did 30 on the tread, when I "didn't have time."

18) Listened to Bob Greene on XM radio talk about, just doing it for today. Small ACTION steps every day gets you to your goal. I thought about all of us.

It's about all i can do, im still really sore from having my tonsils taken out.

11) Went and played Basketball with my friends..spontaneously! :)

12) Worked out on my treadmill an extra 10 minutes

13) Increased my incline by 2

15) I was at the Grocery store, starving, and instead of the hot wings and potato logs I was tempted by, I had an Orange! WILL POWER :)

2) worked out Saturday even though I didn't have time.

3) did not pig out during a "normal" pig out time for me. Instead I chose healthy options.

4) measured my caramel popcorn and treated it as a snack instead of eating as much as I wanted and end up going over calories.

I listened to an archived radio program on Hayhouseradio.com by Micheal Neill. It was called 1000 ACTIONS.

The premise of the show was that you can set a goal, and breaking it down into smaller steps you can achieve it by WORKING ON it by TAKING ACTIONS.

The Host said though 1000 seems like a lot, it is really 4 ACTIONS a DAY. 4 actions a day seems very doable. I am going to start today, working toward 1000 small steps to get to my goal.

I am hoping others will also want to take ACTION STEPS to get to where you need to go. You can take as many steps a day as you want, it is your journey.

I will be posting my number every day, counting HIGHER and HIGHER as the days, and months go by. Who can get to 1000? The beauty of this challenge is that you can start at anytime, because it really is an individual journey.

I am also hoping by witnessing some of your actions, it will give me ideas for what I can do.

FAJAME Olive Oil & Canola Oil both have more Monounsatuated Fats which lower Cholesterol & maintain HDL. How ever Olive oil has twice the Sat. Fat as Canola Oil.

Olive Oil 1T= 120 calories,14g Fat, 2g Sat. Fat, 2g Poly, 10g Mono, 10% Vitamin E
Canola Oil 1T= 124 Calories, 14g Fat, 1g Sat. Fat, 4g Poly, 8g Mono, 14.6% Vitamin E

I really like the idea of this challenge...it makes you feel as though you're doing so much each day...

Well my challenge is not just to lose weight but to have confidence in myself and feel as though i matter, i have spent so many years putting everyone else first so losing weight means putting me first.

3) Didn't pig out at the first party I went to today, and I ate fairly sensibly at the second party I went to.

4) Parked further away when I went shopping today and didn't move the car inbetween stores (it was a strip mall).

9) Bought one lb. of Fresh Strawberries...even though they were $5.99 a lb! YIKES

10) Had a snack of Frech bread Baguette (1 WW pt) and garlic Flavored olive oil. I can't believe on WW you have to eat Olive oil daily..this is fantastic. YUMMY. Party party party LOL.

Why is Olive Oil good for you again? For your heart, or something? I think it lowers the bad LDL.

I love journals too. I have a ton of them for different things. SILLY, but I just love writing in all of them.

I listened to an archived radio program on Hayhouseradio.com by Micheal Neill. It was called 1000 ACTIONS.

The premise of the show was that you can set a goal, and breaking it down into smaller steps you can achieve it by WORKING ON it by TAKING ACTIONS.

The Host said though 1000 seems like a lot, it is really 4 ACTIONS a DAY. 4 actions a day seems very doable. I am going to start today, working toward 1000 small steps to get to my goal.

I am hoping others will also want to take ACTION STEPS to get to where you need to go. You can take as many steps a day as you want, it is your journey.

I will be posting my number every day, counting HIGHER and HIGHER as the days, and months go by. Who can get to 1000? The beauty of this challenge is that you can start at anytime, because it really is an individual journey.

I am also hoping by witnessing some of your actions, it will give me ideas for what I can do.
