I did join WW some time back.. I did not follow through.. I get tempted to join again every new year and there is something about paying for something that I can do on my own...depression is my big hurdle.. some days I can motivate myself other days not so much..paying for ww is not going to change that.. I will stick to Sparkpeople
After the millionth time signing up again, I cancelled again. It works great for some, me not so much. Had great success on Points Plus, until I didn't. Had a serious conversation with my mother and my husband this weekend. My husband put it in great perspective. He said he would support me no matter what plan I chose but personally felt that there is something about WW that I just don't stick to so why would I keep trying? Light bulb moment! I proved at the beginning of the month that I could lose by tracking here on Spark and NOT feel like I'm on a diet so I am just going to keep at it here. It's actually freeing because there are literally no rules other than sticking to my calorie goal.
We all have our struggles and just need to find what works for us. If WW is it, go for it! Otherwise, keep trying until you find something you can live with. :)
I have recently dug out my old points plan from WW. I always found it easy to follow, I need structure. I have to agree with some, WW is so much marketing. They have been changing the plans way too much in the last several years that's probably why there are so many sites with the points system and calculators. It's pretty expensive also. I've been looking to join TOPS Taking Off Pounds Sensibly and it has been around since 1948 (I think). It appears to be a support group and doesn't push any diets or plans but you get a weigh in each week and discuss successes or struggles. Update: TOPS meeting for me was a fail. I'll keep searching and tracking with old WW points system.

@KRISTEN2018D - Why would you plan to eat something you don't like? If you don't like unsweetened yoghurt, don't eat it.I don't like it either and the only time I eat it (unsweetened Greek Yoghurt and which isn't very often) is with certain meat dishes.
I am trying blue on my own but I like Spark Peoples tracker (calories). I am incorporating zero point foods but will track the calories.
Today I had egg beaters and PB2 for lunch and a low cal wrap with ff cheese. 5 pts or 360 cals. Tonight we are having a beef stew with zero point carrots. I will avoid the potatoes. Goal 23 points and 1400 calories. Wish me luck!
I bought unsweetened applesauce and fruit cocktail. I also plan to eat unsweetened yogurt (yuck!) All are zero points.
Anyone going to order The myWW™ Program Cookbook? I am thinking about it but would love to hear a review.
Hope this helps some. Maybe you remember the names of the old plans, which seem to be simply small tweaks on the same overall basic plan, just with a little variety. Just marketing mostly, I would think.
I am signed up for Green right now but you can change anytime you want. Green is more like the plan before Freestyle. Blue is the current Freestyle program and Purple most closely aligns with their old Simply Filling plan.
I am with Kris. I have also been raising my eyebrows at WW for several years. It seems that they are now changing how their program works annually or every two years after having the same basic program for YEARS.

I was intrigued by the colours so checked it out. Now I'm confused .... kindof bamboozled LOL! I'm glad I don't follow ANY type of plan other than a healthy, (mostly) non-processed, variety of lean protein, variety of colours fruit/veggies and healthy fats, and wholegrains and enter the calories.
