( as a side note, having inactive teams still listed on the board, can deflate any enthusiasm a SP person may have. being a former Leader, I decided to close the Team when I knew it was dead, can't SP write a software to remove dead teams ?) emoticon

I have been doing the 16:8 IF for about a month about 6 days a week. I like it and it seems to be working. I have cut calories and I do not eat and snack all day. It is teaching my discipline. My eating window is usually 12-8 or 11:30-7:30. I am female age 47.

I have found Dr Jason Fung has a great deal of knowledge to offer on the subject, and his website is freely available at Intensive Dietary Management. However, for a more straightforward guide, The Complete Guide to Fasting (same author) is worth the few dollars it costs to have it all laid out simply for you.

Yes, I was going to say there is a Spark Team on IF.

I once saw a documentary from Michael Mosley on 5:2 intermittent fasting. It was from the UK. You might want to look that up.

For me it didn’t work as it threw off my routine that had been working for weight loss. Others are very happy with it.

Also there are many versions of fasting, so research that. And good luck to you on your journey.

thank you , yes the link is from Dr Axe, never heard of her before..but that means very little since I live in the EU ..where everyone Smokes to stay thin ..

The link didn’t work, but I assume it’s an article by Dr Axe. I have my doubts, but you could give it a try and see if you like it. Try for a shorter fasting period, like 14 hours. That basically is no evening snacks. After dinner until breakfast.
