Another thing to note is the crazy sizes of US produce.

for example, don't track 1 pepper, weigh it!

When we went to Texas I couldn't believe the size of stuff compared to what we have in the UK, things were huge. You will be tracking more calories if you rely on tracking by units instead of weight.

I'm a Kiwi - most of my food is manually entered. Apart from right at the beginning when I suffered frustration looking for things and not realizing that they mostly only have American stuff, it hasn't bothered me.

" I have found that the data base doesn't have many Australian items."
Well, yes, as this IS an American site. :)
You can manually enter the items you eat. Remember to save it!

I see you have been here almost three years. Are you just starting tracking now?
If so, some tips...
Remember to save your entries.
The recipe builder is a feature that many use.
Grouping together foods you eat often is a great time saver.

Good luck!

Under the "Add a Food" button on your nutrition tracker is a link that says "enter food not listed". Click there to input your own info.

Hope that helps,

You can manually add items. The nutrition tracker is based off the American USDA. :-)

Is there a way to choose a food and put in my own nutritional information in? I have found that the data base doesn't have many Australian items.
