12 years. I've been slowly...very slowly...getting to a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes I've gone years just maintaining because food is also an emotional issue and it was scary at those points to move down any further. I always come back to this program and this community though when I am ready to move because it works and the support is amazing.

I joined mid 2014. Lost a total of 55 lbs. over that time. I regained 15 lbs. while hubby was in hospital for 5 weeks but have maintained since then. ;) I am working on trying to re-loose that 15 lbs. I won't give up!

I joined about 5 years ago after having lost about 80 lbs and wanted to be sure I maintained that weight loss. Spark has definitely been helpful in that regard.

Don't think I've missed a day in years!

My first time really doing SparkPeople was about 8 years ago, and I lost 30 lbs in about 6 months. After a few fits and starts, I came back in earnest two month ago, looking to lose 14 lbs and am just over 2/3 there.

The lessons that I have learned from Spark, particularly with respect to nutrition, have been invaluable.

Long enough to know;

The difference between a Regestered Dietitian and a snake oil salesman.

To have investigated micros, and consume the RDA of all I can track.

To see the cyclical pattern of the macro battle. Lol

To see the young, in body, spread falsehood.

To see the young, in mind, see a wholesome future.

To see discussions over an aisle in the grocery store.

To see some dodge a bar code.

Ultimately, to see a prescription for better health, and a venue to better tastes.

Too often blame is laid on the Scientific Community for the sins of a population.

There is no bad food, only bad cooks.
