I am on my 3rd Mi Band. I had a ver 2, 3, and now 4. The only issue I have had with them is the band. The Mi Band 4 came with 2 extra bands so I hope to be ok. I get at least a year on the bands before they wear out (which is convenient because a new version comes out). The actual fob still works.

They used to be ip67, which means completely dustproof and swimmable, on the surface (short underwater periods, 1 meter for 30 minutes). Now the Mi4 is rated up to 50 meters deep. I wear it in the shower daily, and snorkel with it often. I have had no problems.

The app that comes with it has been getting better, but I still prefer to use "Notify & Fitness". It was like $3 on the Google Playstore. It has a lot more detailed info, if you like all the numbers - and I do.

Glad it went well. I think this might be the link to the company with information on its products:

Update: I went swimming today, and the Mi Band was fine. I found it kind of hard to turn the swimming tracker function on and off, hopefully this gets easier with practice.

According to their website, it's rated up to 5ATM (5 atmospheres, the equivalent of about 50 meters underwater).

So unless you're doing some serious deep diving, you can totally take it swimming!

Take life one day at a time - enjoy today before you worry about tomorrow.

Did you read the directions or check the website? The specs should let you know if it's waterproof and to what depth.

I just got a Mi Band 4 for my birthday. (It's a fitness tracker for the uninitiated)

I swim a lot, but I am kind of afraid to take it into the water, even though it's supposed to be fine for swimming, and there's even a function to track your swimming.

Does anyone have a Mi Band who can assure me I won't ruin my new device if I wear it to go swimming?
