Glad your doing better. The dropping incident made me chuckle!!! I have had similar experiences after a good workout. Nothing like the dead man's drop to use the toilet. :-)

Update!

I did that workout on Wednesday 4th and it is now Sunday the 8th and my legs are almost feeling like they are back to normal. They were so sore the last few days.

Funny story. My daughter and I were out on Friday (day 2 after leg day). We just finished our coffee and a kind older gentleman was holding the door for us as were leaving the restaurant when my daughter accidentally dropped her empty takeout mug on the ground. She has a vision impairment so I started to reach down to pick it up for her in an attempt to be speedy about it. My legs were so stiff that I moved in slow motion. It took me so long to pick up the cup and I moved with such obvious discomfort that the older gentleman asked me if he could get it for me! LOL! I was a mess!

Lesson learned. Ease back into it!

I have had this happen after yoga and I found that starting out a little more hydrated greatly reduces to eliminates the problem. You can still feel a good workout, but you're not so worried about what the next day or two will bring.

-google first. ask questions later.

Glad you're feeling better. It's amazing how much a good stretching session can help.

It’s all good, I stretched after and will do some yoga before bed. It’s just never happened before that’s all.

It’s not DOMS. It’s pushing yourself too hard, too fast, for too long causing muscle fatigue.

Yep, I've had that happen. Hope you stretched (or will stretch tonight) well. That will help you immensely tomorrow. Good luck!

Has anyone ever had DOMS happen immediately following a workout? I haven’t really push my legs hard in a strength training session in a while as I’ve been focusing on distance bike riding and sore legs slow me down. So today I hit the weights and squatted, lunged, jumped and hamstringed (ok I made that word up) my legs hard and my legs were sore before I’d even finished the workout! Like when you try and sit and you feel every muscle. If they’re like this already I’m dreading what they’ll feel like tomorrow!

Has anyone else experienced this?
