Wow, that sounds like an awesome and very educational two weeks!! I'm so happy to hear that your daughter will be getting a dog, it has to be so beneficial and freeing.

No worries about riding...what you've been doing is so much more important. I'm sure you'll be glad to get home when you do and the riding can happen as you are able.

I maintain this challenge so that we can all do what we can do to ride but the friendships and connection are so much more important than any ride could ever be.

Okay, done with the mushy stuff....hard to believe it is the last day of September. I'll be setting up October's challenge soon and hope we can all encourage each other to ride as we are able.

Sorry to leave you hanging Kath! I have been out of town for the last 2 weeks staying at a guide dog school with my daughter. She visually impaired and is getting her very first guide dog. I did bring my bike but have only managed to get out for a ride once and I didn’t get around to posting it. Between the intensive training, doggie bonding and the bad wifi there just isn’t enough time for me right now. But it shall pass.

They are feeding us and the meals are decent. A little too high in bread carbs and too low in veggies for me but whatever, I’ll get get back on track when we get home.

Our room is on the third floor so we are getting in a ton of stair climbing and lots of walking and every day I try and do some push ups, squats, dips and split squats. Graduation is this Thursday night so 3 more sleeps and we get to go home!

It’s been a life changing experience for her. The Lions Foundation of Canada is an amazing organization so if anyone ever has a few bucks to donate please think of them. These dogs cost $25,000 to train and the people that need them get them for free because of generous donations. I have met some really special people here.
