25751 fitness minutes.

However, my “intentional exercise” (30 minutes or more daily) is 12345 fitness minutes; the rest are my daily steps. SparkPeople doesn’t but I do differentiate between the two.

Being positive is a choice. My Mantra: “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day." Each morning seek the positive and you will have a good day. Always remember, “Your only competition is YOU.”

24,056 minutes. I typically exercise around 2 hours a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Just depends.

@KRISUA I get between 350 & 400 intentional exercise minutes weekly. I walk 2-3 miles a day and do strength training with light (3-5lb) weights 2 to 3 times a week. I love to walk. Weather permitting outdoors. If it is too hot (Las Vegas) I will do treadmill or mall walk but I get it done.

I am working on a 100K a week step streak for the rest of 2019. Currently at 11 weeks.

@MLAN613 You are sooo right. My weak self-esteem combined with being highly competitive especially with myself, only creates situations where I burn out fast - which happens a couple of times a year. I cannot allow myself any more Fitbits or other similar gadgets because I start competing against myself. Like every next day I must do something better/more than the day before. It's crazy.

Similarly, whenever I see people doing so much better than me at any given time (like now), it gives me new kicks to strain my limits as well. Sometimes it gives me very good results, too, but as to the fitness goals... nah, I mostly just kill myself with this.

That must have been a very technical trail run! Congratulations.

I have been thinking about this very thread a lot. I have an acquaintance, a man in his 50's, from my run club who is FAST. He is so fast, as a matter of fact, that he got to run the Twin Cities Marathon a few years ago as a professional after 2 years of excellent performance at Boston. Let's just say he has at least 3 sub 3 hour marathons. (My last half marathon was a 3:15 after tripping, falling and subsequently walking the last 2 or 3 miles.) He told me that no matter how good you think you are, there is always someone out there who is faster.

I think this is fitting here. He knows he is a good runner and he was performing at his peak during this time but he is not an elite runner. There are also faster "normal" runners. But as long as you are doing the best you can, you are just fine. You should NEVER compare yourself to someone else.

Well, that is not the way to look at it!
Feeling the need to do more just because someone is out performing you minute-wise is silly.
You need to do you.
There is always going to be people who have more minutes, run more miles, take more classes, dress nicer, etc...

Keeping up with them (and seeming that you need to out-do them) should not be your goal.

Krisua, there is nothing wrong with the amount of minutes you have or that Zorbs has. She runs trail races and marathons. Not everyone does that. If you are happy with your fitness regimen, than you should stick with that.

@ZORBS13 @LUANN_IN_PA Guys, my sincere apologies! I really did think that my minutes are excellent emoticon How wrong was I... I was counting an hour a day times six and found it impossibe to have already 8500 minutes during the first three months since my YEARLY goal is between 10 000 till 12 000 emoticon But now I DO have a whole new perspective on my own training.

Thank you both and once again @ZORBS13 I never meant to attack you. I am sorry I even said anything like that and from now on, I will strive for more han my lousy 10 000 minutes a year as well. Thanks for motivating me!

Zorbs always excels in fitness minutes!
And real minutes, not shopping and the like that many people count.

Way to go, Zorbs!

I run about 10 hours a week. Plus up to an hour of strength training a week. I only count intentional exercise.

I'd be happy to show you my training logs with GPS tracking if you think I'm lying.
