To lose this final 8 pounds and reach my chosen goal weight by the end of this year. To enter 2020 in maintenance mode.

Being positive is a choice. My Mantra: “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day." Each morning seek the positive and you will have a good day. Always remember, “Your only competition is YOU.”

My weight loss goal is to get back to 125-130 lbs (130 is my first goal, 125 my second)

I want to increase my energy levels.

I want to get my credit card debt paid off.

I want to get to where I exercise regularly.

Each step of each moment is a decision. Make your future what you want it to be, and never settle.

My Fitness/Exercise goals for 2019 include:

emoticon Working out 4-5x per week (at least 2 cardio, and at least 2 strength-training days, with optional 5th day of whatever I want).

...well that's my fitness goal. The results from that will hopefully lead to improved flexibility, lower body fat percentage, the ability to do 8 pull-ups (I can do 6 now), and me advancing from "level 3" to "level 4" in my fitness dance classes.

The school is a place where we can get basic knowledge. I recommend using support resources. You can learn a few basic criteria for writing an essay. You can contact your supervisor or write a request for a special resource studymoose.com/gun. Students often experiment with information bases and Internet resources. You must choose the right resources.

My goal is to find my niche. As well as to get to my goal weight, I only have 30 lbs to go, till I make a new goal that is. Start small right. 335 to 250. Where I'm at now took me about 8 months but I was not always serious, now I'm dead set on accomplishing it!!!

I have always wanted to do an ocean swim challenge. There are several where I live ranging from 1-10K and since I am moving this year this will be my last chance to try it.

I'd like to commit to a yoga practice on a regular basis instead of just when my body hurts.

I want to try to workout more on my elliptical this year and try to get in 10,000 steps. I want to lose some more weight this year by logging my food that I eat more accurately and close or barely over my calorie goal. I started logging my food here on sparkpeople.

That was kinda my point. You want something better, not worse. A trainer should keep you out of trouble. Have fun!

Oh, I'll be working with a trainer so I should be OK. (He already made suggestions about some machines/exercises I should limit or use in moderation only.)

But if I always do what I've always done, I'll always get what I've always gotten...and I'm not satisfied with that any more.

@ALUKOWSKY, I went there and did that and now I don't. In fairness, I don't know whether work or weights contributed more, but arthritis, hernias, knees, and shoulders didn't like bodybuilding for me. Could have also just been bad genes. The one single thing I would stress most is to check and double check each exercise for safety and to discover who says don't do them and why. Most muscle groups can be improved with far less risk by using alternatives to some of the more popular lifting routines (the one that jumps out at me is bench press because I blame it for my shoulder problems).

Anyway, I'm in no way discouraging you, but rather encouraging you to do it, but do it as safely as possible. Best wishes for success!

I want to...(gulp!) start BODYBUILDING!! There; I said it. It's in fact been a secret desire of mine for decades.

I have lost between 65-70 lbs. and kept it off for over a year. I'm back down to a medically healthy weight, and am just 10 lbs. away from my ideal weight. I'm able to wear most of my clothes from my graduate school days, the time when I was at my peak fitness. The thing is, though, I have never been particularly toned, even at my most slender.

Occasionally, I read articles about super-fit, super-toned senior citizens and figure that if an elderly grandma can achieve that level of fitness, a middle-aged whipper-snapper ought to be able to do it too. Lol! Truthfully, I don't know how much is possible at my age (55), OR whether I'll have the dedication necessary for such a feat, but I guess I won't know till I try. I do like to challenge myself by setting "unrealistic" goals...and achieving them. (This would not be the first time in my life I've done that.) At the very least, if I persist, I'll finish out the year more toned than I started.
