It has been many, many years ago that I did WW - so my memory is not clear about the week or two break that was recommended from exercise. I believe the "reset" term was in reference to letting your body adjust to your newly lost weight loss or perhaps keeping one's body from adapting to a regular exercise routine?

What is their philosophy on that and like Luann asked, reset in what way? I've never been a part of Weight Watchers, so I don't know and have never heard of them having an exercise break philosophy.

Reset in what way?

I have taken time away from formal exercise many times over the decades (especially during health issues and when on vacation), with zero noticeable changes in my body.

Is there any truth in the philosophy that Weight Watchers used to use where you would take a week or two off from any formal exercise to let your body "reset"?
