When my exercise fell off I resolved to at minimum walk around the block. Once the walk was started it usually led to a longer, brisker walk as the day always had some sort of beauty to see. It is always a nice way to feel accomplishment of some effort realized.
Best of success to you!

Thank you all - after reading this I realized I have all but abandoned any sort of exercise - so instead of sitting at the computer first thing in the morning I am going to TRY to do some sort of exercise first. Onward and downward.

Every day in every way, with the help of God and my friends, I am getting better, stronger, and healthier

It worked for me to break my plateau by going vegetarian for a couple of years. Now am pescatarian.
What you eat is my personal theory of how easily weight is managed.
Patience and perseverance are other key ingredients, do not give up!!
I wish you success!

Hi,

We have a great 3-part series of articles for Plateau Busters. Here's a link to Part 1:

www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_artic
les.asp?id=516

You may find some new ideas in there to try and get you through your plateau. If you like Part 1 and want to read the other two parts (which I recommend), just type plateau busters into the search field and they should come up in the results. if you have any trouble finding them, just let me know and I will get links for you.

Best wishes!

Make sure you are not underrating.
Stay the course.
Be patient.

Also, do you weigh/measure and log everything you eat?

I have been on enough "diets" to know that a plateau happens, but I have lost and gained the same pound for the last month - I have tried eating a little more, eating a little less and nothing seems to help. I should be over halfway to my goal weight by this time and I am not - stuck at losing only 5 pounds since the beginning of Sept. Can anyone offer any sort of advise?
