Love the cartoon! Sometimes I feel I can't breathe easily with my mask, but I know I''m supposed to wear it in public. Staying safe and helping others do the same is worth it!

Becoming the healthiest me that I can be.

I have been wearing lots of leggings, sweatshirts and t shirt dresses. I pulled out a pair of pants with a zipper. Will wear those on Sunday. Even though church is in my living room on Sunday. I still like to put on real clothes for it.

I had to drop off a package at the post office. Had to stand in line about fifteen minutes. Only two customers were allowed in the post office at one time.

"I miss wearing pants with zippers."

Not me. LOL I love wearing my comfy fleece pants and top.

Here's a thought, for those members who are worried that their waistline is expanding a little too rapidly during the shutdown, wearing work pants while WFH might make them think twice about hitting the fridge for a snack.

@SHERYLDS

I think many of us who have been WFH for close to 8 weeks wish this were possible.

ARCHIMEDES....trust me. My getting dressed is casual as in CASUAL. I'm afraid if I don't make an effort, I will end up looking like cartoon Maxine, permanently.... Nightgown, bathrobe, and bunny slippers. For me it's a slippery slope.

The way things are going in my area, it feels like this is going to last well into July. N.J. coronavirus cases rose to 105,523, with 5,863 deaths reported across state. 3,457 new positive tests. 249 new deaths. (since yesterday). My county is the hardest hit.

"I still wash/blow dry my hair everyday and get dressed. I live alone but I still do this to feel civilized."

@SHERYLDS

Dressed ? WFH is the one time (maybe Halloween) I can legitimately wear my jammies to work.

I run my errands in gym clothes aka sweats or workout pants.

That is the nice thing about not going into the office. I haven't needed to dress for work. So, no need to iron anything. And yes, I will occasionally drag a comb through my hair if there is a team teleconference. LOL

even through all this staying at home period....I still wash/blow dry my hair everyday and get dressed. I live alone but I still do this to feel civilized. Every day becomes a mini spa day...mani, pedi, mini facial. Last time I went food shopping I wore eye and brow makeup. Like who is going to see it under my mask and hoodie?

am I losing it? emoticon

I'm still working at my part time job, as secretary at a church, and running outdoors. So my life hasn't changed all that much. However, because of all of this, we realized that we eat out far too much!!

I just do what I normally do. Talk to my sister on the phone; go onto FB; go onto SP; play Spider on my mobile, food prep (not much given I bulk cook); do any household chore that needs doing; watch TV (mostly the news and Love it or List it. and just generally blobbing.

Outside clothes are supposed to be removed as soon as getting home and put in a bag. I would be inclined to wash if possible, but if not possible, then use an appropriate disinfectant and spray it down. Just remember, not all disinfectants work on it.

This is from one of NZ's to Microbiologists, Dr Siouxsie Wiles:

"If you are using a disinfectant make sure it says it is antiviral and follow the instructions. Often, we just end up using a cloth to wipe the microbes around rather than actually letting them sit and stew in the disinfectant first so that it can do its job. Surfaces will need about 10 seconds soaking with the disinfectant for it to work."

I found this you MAY be interested in (if you haven't already seen it):

With all the precautions on face masks, and how to take off a face mask, and how to remove gloves. I have a question.
What about your clothes and jacket?
Do you wash everything every time you return home?

My Mom made agar agar again. This time cendol flavor. She's been buying a block of butter each time she goes to the supermarket. She can make abt 4 cakes out of 1 block. She makes small cakes. She is baking more than usual to pass time.

Yesterday, she made pork curry! We had it for lunch & dinner with slices of baquette! Between us we finished the entire baquette and the small pot of rice. She also stir fried a huge plate of mung bean sprouts!

I am very thankful my Mom is such a good cook & we never have to go hungry! I am very worried about the state of the world after this pandemic is over, if it is going to be over. We may go into a deep recession with inflation. We must all continue to pray.........

I bet the church was thrilled to have the goats on staff as lawn maintenance. There is a Native American tribe in my area and they have burial mounds about 2 miles/3.25 km from my house. They "employed" some goats last fall to clean up the vegetation in area. The goats did a fine job. :)

Meghan - no at the time we lived at the Concrete Works my husband managed. There was about 3/4 acre behind the house, and empty Church grounds to the side, so I used that for the goats too. It helped them because they didn't have to pay to keep the grass cut LOL!

Here in New Jersey we have almost 47,500 cases with 7874 confirmed cases in my county alone. I made a final run to the supermarket to pick up essentials and found a line around the store had already started at 7AM. I made sure I was covered head to foot (waterproof hoodie, black scarf, black gloves, mini hand sanitizer)...I looked like a ninja. I won't be leaving my building for the next month. I even bought powdered milk. Just about everyone in the store had masks on...except the employees. ???? I felt bad for them.

My allergies are kicking in (at least I hope it's allergies) and I'm exhausted. I don't sleep well. I can't stop listening to the news. I am retired but my heart goes out to those who are still working.... especially those who work in essential jobs.

My boo boos. They love each other and a few people. Other than that. They have social distancing down pat. They hate strangers.

Thanks! They couldn't care less about this pandemic situation. They get their meals and plenty of naps. Life is good for them. Thankfully, pet food stores are considered essential here in Minnesota so they will be kept in the good food.
