I wasn't here or don't remember, but actually posted the question asking how people are getting thousands (more than 10,000) points in one month. Check the leader-boards which is the blue button in your spark points box.

I've pretty much quit wasting my time spinning the wheel/tracking any points....not worth waiting for something that is "useless". I'd rather read something on the message board...since it is other folks' experience that is more motivating for me.

I use the point system to keep focused on the routine. It is a daily reminder. Enjoy the many articles and trackers. Points are a bonus.

I have been around since March of 2009 and yes, it was harder to get 100 or more then. I, too, don't put much value in the points other than some fun. Even now, I don't always get 100 points. I do the activities I do. Sometimes the daily spins give me more points, sometimes less but if I am done doing the things I usually do, I am done.

Oh yes! I remember those days also, having joined SparkPeople in 2005.

For me, points are a motivator, so I use them as such. We're all different in how we work our programs! Anything that will keep me focused on being healthy is a good thing in my book.

I have come CLOSE to 250 points on RARE occasion these days, but it's not difficult for me to get 100+ a day if I'm doing my usual routine!!

Joined Sparkpeople in 2009. Trying to accumulate 100 points/day was a difficult task. Within 6 mo you had to reset articles to read because they could be read only once. Now you can read the same articles over and over in the same day and get points!
Now it is not unheard to accumulate 200 to 300 points, granted a lot of work has to be done since there's more to do.
