Greeting cards, gift wrap and bags, bleach, carpet cleaner (this stuff works even on wine stains), aluminum baking pans, plastic storage dishes, jarred mushrooms (the best I ever bought), and dish towels/mats.

Cards. After reading Clark Howard on the subject, I did a little research myself and discovered the same cards on sale full price elsewhere are $1 at a dollar store

Food staples like spices, picante sauce, minced garlic, imitation vanilla extract, bread when they have it.....hand soap refill, lipstick, toothpaste, some OTC medicines, tissue, food wrap, some cleaning supplies. And I have even bought some frozen veggies. I like going about every other week to see what is new.

Birthday Cards.

$1 there, and about $4 in other places. Its not "Hallmark", but so what?

Name brand things, like Crest toothpaste, and name brand canned food, etc.

Dollar tree & other dollar stores here raised prices a year ago to $1.25. I buy disposable razors, some brand name products like colgate toothpaste & colgate toothbrushes. Sometimes in stores I can get theses items on sale in other stores for $1.00. I do not buy many unknown brands in shampoo or cleaning products because I would use more. I buy many healthy food items that are cheaper, kitchen products. I would not buy unknown cosmetics because of the chemicals used in foreign countries, I live in Canada and here the same chemicals are not allowed in our domestic cosmetics. A while a go I bought mascara at a $1.00 store and as I put it on, it burned and pulled out most of my eye lashes, they have never all come back. The only cosmetic item I buy is Sally Hanson nail polish at a $1.00 store. They charge $2.00 for it, it is $5.00 or more in other stores.

We don't have a Dollar Tree here, but there are a few things that I normally pick up at our local Dollar Store:

"Spa Soap" liquid soap refill bottle (which is 20% of the cost of the "Soft Soap", and I can't tell the difference)
Soduko or word game booklets (I prefer these to electronic versions)
Food-safe disposable nitrile gloves (non-powdered, and non latex)
Disposable razors (less than 10% of the cost of a name-brand, and I can't tell the difference)

Sir Terry Pratchett: "Science is not about building a body of known 'facts'. It is a method for asking awkward questions and subjecting them to a reality-check, thus avoiding the human tendency to believe whatever makes us feel good."

"The Inuit Paradox" ( discovermagazine.com/2004/oct/inuit-
paradox
): "...there are no essential foods—only essential nutrients. And humans can get those nutrients from diverse and eye-opening sources. "

Sometimes you can get nice vases and stones for filler. At the Dollar Tree. Craft items that are several dollars at craft stores.

I used the Dollar Tree. When I had to do the centerpieces for a church banquet. I was paying for all of it. I worked my magic on the items and no one knew that they came from The Dollar Tree and Walmarz

I did buy all of my flavored coffee at Dollar Tree. The flavored coffee was delicious and I could not complain at a buck a bag. However, the store stopped shelving it. I can buy the flavored coffee at dollartree.com, but would have to pay for 24 bags at once (a crate). I cannot afford.

I do like to buy their boxes of tea bags. A box of black tea bags is 100 tea bags in a box for a buck!

Then, I like to buy craft supplies there.

I like to use coupons there, but rarely can find the exact size of the item the coupon asks for.

How about you? Do you believe in Dollar Tree hauls?
