I record every time I eat.

Tip to reduce weight: First turn your head to the right and then turn it to the left. Repeat this exercise every time you are offered something to eat.

I record my meals in the morning as a plan for that day...
then I modify as needed. It helps me keep within calories and nutritional goals. If I change something, I try to make the swap something of equal value.

Sometimes I record my meals the night before if I know what I'm having the next day. Some days I record at each meal

I usually record in the morning my planned meals for the day, but I record snacks as I have them to allow for variation. I don't like everything to be too set in stone or I rebel against the restrictions I've set for myself.

At the beginning of the day I plan out what I'm going to eat that day. I check the carb/fat/protein ration to be sure I'm on track. If I eat additional food, I record it. My problem is I keep eating less than 1,100 calories/day. I do not eat after 6pm. Trying to juggle my food intake can be difficult some days.

My tablet is such a pain and crashes every five minutes. It can take 40 minutes to enter my food.

So I do it once a day

When I first began Spark many years ago I was religious about it. It honestly kind of took over. Was it effective? Yes. I reached my goals, but not without consequence, in that I was SO obsessive about tracking. I will say that I believe it is an extremely useful tool, most especially when first starting out - it really was eye opening. But I think it can become a detriment and you can stop allowing yourself to LIVE realistically. Find the balance, whether you track once a day, a few times a week to check in, or every single thing you put in your mouth. Be mindful of the overall goal :)

Normally every meal. I count calories and sodium. Very limited on sodium. Today I went over for the first time in a long time. I should weigh in the morning to see if I need an extra water pill. I have chf and really have to watch that sodium.

A day or two ahead. If something changes I go in and readjust. I prep my meals for the week, and tend to eat the same thing for each meal so it makes it easy.

Sometimes a day in advance. Try to do a full day at one time. Mostly, Depends on what's cooking, or if leftovers. Then have to delete & change if hubby wants to go out.

I usually plan my meal for the day early, so I add all at once, and if I eat something else I add it as I eat it.

I have the memory of a sieve, so it's better for me to record soon after I've eaten something. I often calculate calories on my phone and save the info for when I can jot them down in my Notepad file later on.

I eat the same breakfast most days and pack my lunch for work, so it's easy to track all of that while having coffee in the morning. If you don't track until the end of the day it would be so easy to go over and not realize before it's too late.

I'm most successful when I take 5 minutes in the morning to plan what I'm going to eat and then adjust the changes as I go. I try to switch similar foods for each other (example protein for protein). My aim is to get in as many veggies as I can. This strategy help me see the calorie allotment so that if I change something I can guesstimate a better choice.

I also read a lot of articles from the EAT THIS NOT THAT website and get some great tips.

I usually record around lunch time, know what I had, and have a clue about dinner and snacks. Don't obsess about when though, or you will frustrate yourself and not do it.

I use to log as I went. I decided to try to get my whole day at once! Have been doing really well & I have more control on how nutrition report comes out at the end of the day!!

It varies.
Some days I log as I go; some days I log before I eat.

Remembering to have everything logged before going to sleep for the day is not an issue for me.
It needs to be done - so I just do it.

I'm most accurate if I post at random opportunities during the day, but since I eat the same breakfast every day I go ahead and post that up to a week in advance.... and then I really have to remember only the other meals and snacks... usually I log the rest of the day's meals the last thing in the day...
