How about some cabbage soup from left-over cabbage and make it like Stone Soup - a few left-overs and extras from everyone's pantry. That gives the Cybercafe chefs and staff a chance to nurse any green hangovers.

Is St Joseph's Day, an Italian celebration, the day before or after St Pat's? It is a day of wearing of' the red for Italians and feasting on Italian cuisine. Of course there is a huge Italian population in the US, and perhaps we don't need to focus on spaghetti, mostaccoli, and pizza because we eat those Italian offerings regularly - because, unlike corned beef and cabbage, we like them.

Hmmm. Green beer and red pizza. Almost a Christmas buffet.

Waking Ned Devine........super idea! Loved it.....and can't wait to watch it again.

I will multitask and also have a screen on the Northern Exposure reruns with Aldy. In honor of the Brick Restaurant, I will have a pizza.....or two. Have seen all the episodes at least 10 times each. Even took my picture out in front of the mural that the moose walks in front of.

Also not a big corned beef fan here, but I love Baileys and will join EABL for one of those. So far, even though I haven't a bit of green on me, I've avoided being pinched!

Then afterwards, I'll visit Linda and watch the stars from the heated recliners.

Welcome to all the new visitors! Drop by often!

I'll take the corn beef and cabbage. Plus some potatoes to go with that. I would also love some of Eable's dessert. That sounds so yummy. The movie sounds good too pass the popcorn.

I like the St. Patrick's day menu, so I'll have that, too, except for the green beer and orange sorbet. Please add some chocolate sauce to my ice cream, and serve it on top of a gooey brownie. And I love the idea of skipping the corned beef and cabbage (as per my blog on the topic).

For an aperitif - I'll have a Bailey's on the rocks.

Afterwards, let's have some traditional Irish music, complete with dancing. Then, we need a movie. Something light-hearted and fun. How about, "Waking Ned Devine"? Loved that one - it was too funny!

Happy St. Patrick's day - Éirinn go Brách, y’all!

Not corned beef and cabbage to be sure. But in honor of the St Patrick's Day, how about green tea, really nice lamb chops, boiled potatoes (with butter), broccoli (for a healthy green), a bunch of orange baby carrots (for the Protestants), and for dessert orange sherbet and mint chocolate chip icecream. Also, give the house and all of the staff to a pint or two of green beer (but none for me, thank you).

Everyone's had breakfast and I missed it. Oh well it is dinner time. Oh Francois or Viktor could I please have a large plate full of fried scallops and frenchfries. I'll take a bowl of New England Clam chowder with plenty of crusty bread for mopping it up as well. For dessert I'll have lets see my usual cafe mocha, and a big slice of Boston Cream Pie. Wonderful. You both are just darling. I don't know what the boss pays you, but you need a raise. I'll take it out by the pool. I need a little sun, and warmth. It got a little chilly around here today.

Here you go, Tracy. A proper fry-up as the British would say (sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes), followed by an extra-large hot fudge sundae. Best of luck on your audition. Break a leg!

It's Friday for most people, Monday for me. Hee hee. Oh Viktor or Francois could I please have a thick cut of prime rib dinner with a loaded baked potato, and corn on the cob. French onion soup with lots of croutons and cheese. For dessert I'd like a hot fudge sundae with extra whipped cream and nuts. Also my usual large mug of cafe mocha with lots of whipped cream. I'll take it by the fire and watch whatever movie someone comes up with.

Welcome to the cyber-cafe!

Here's your bagel sandwich and chocolate milk, Mmiller. And almond milk with a fruit salad for Ritzibrown. I've added some fresh whipped cream to the side for some added fat and calories. Wouldn't want to see you run out of steam before lunch.

I Think I'd like a large pumpkin chocolate chip muffin with a chai latte to get me started.

Here's your shortcake, Aldy. Francois put extra whipped cream on it. Whoopie pies! Love those. I'll have chocolate with peanut butter cream filling. And maybe a pumpkin with vanilla cream filling.

Then I'll join Linda out by the pool, with a glass of wine to wash down the almonds. I'd like tahini coated almonds please.

You're welcome Peacefulone! We aim to please here at the cybercafe. Just stop by anytime you have a hankerin'. For many of us here at the cafe, we do so several times a day.
emoticon . Actually, some us send our alter egos just to hang out all day. The pool-side recliners are quite popular.

Here's your cheesecake, Pt.Jeffgirl. I've put some raspberries, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream on the side, in case you wanted some additions. Francois will have your burger right out to you, Tracy. He put some guac on top, and added some extra on the side with a few corn chips as well.

For lunch, I've asked Francois to make me a wood-fired pizza, with roasted veggies, brie, and a drizzle of olive oil on top. Love the handmade crusts he does.

Salsa lessons! Ngregor wants a taco salad and I'm thinking that Mexican sound good to me. Let's get those nachos, refried beans, rice, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, empanadas, and tacos (and whatever else I forgot) going. Margarita, anyone?

Snow? Oh, Eabl, here I was cold because it only went up to 60 degrees today--it was over 70 degrees yesterday.

Hi. I haven't stopped in for awhile. I've not had a taco salad in awhile and that sounds pretty good to me at the moment. Hold the guac, plenty of tomatoes, ground beef and lettuce. Oh, and please add plenty of chili beans. The sour cream is best on the side. Add some refillable diet cola and water. If this turns out as good as I think it will, I just might have to buy some taco salad ingredients.
Thank you.

Snow?!? Just this weekend, we had the first signs of spring and now it's snowing?? Okay, just tiny flakes, and they're just sort of drifting in the air, but still!

Am I glad to have this place to escape to (flops into a recliner in the sun by the pool). Francois, may I please have a fruit smoothie? With whole milk, please. And a cinnamon bun.

Oh, hello, Tcanno. Here's your toast with jam and lots of fresh butter. And here are your donuts, PeacefulOne. Fresh from Krispy Kreme. There was one in the town where I went to college. I had a weakness for the ones filled with creme and topped with chocolate. Oh, look, they threw one of those in the box just for me.

I'm planning on spending the day reading a book by the pool. Viktor has promised to keep the sunbrella rotated to keep me from getting burned. He looks so darling in those board shorts. And really, can that man rumba! Linda and I took lessons last night. Fair swept us off our feet! Tonight, he and Francois will be giving salsa lessons. Sign me up! Any one else interested?

Being Scottish, I don't usually do St Patrick's Day, but I guess I could make an exception this year. You suppose if Francois got started now, that haggis would be green by Sunday?

I'm planning on having green tea instead of green beer.

Choowy, the lunch menu sounds wonderful. I can't resist anything with sausage in it. I'll have that, please. Linda's cheese plate looks lovely, perhaps a little one of my own would be nice while I wait for lunch. With a nice light white wine, something fresh and summery while I sit here in the sun.

I have to say, it's great to have you back, Choowy. We were getting a little pedestrian in our menu in your absence. It's also nice of Viktor and Francois to act as pool boys today. They do add a little "je ne sais quoi" to the service. Actually, I do "sais quoi", I'm just too polite to say.

Cheese, please. Cheese and crackers, macaroni and cheese. Cheese plates. cheese quiche, cheese pizza. Cheese!

Today is beautiful. It's 68 degrees, sunny, just a little breeze, gorgeous. My violas and pansies are blooming and happy. The grass is green and it's being mowed right now! So I'm going out by the pool at the cybercafe to get away from the lawn mower! (Well, in reality, I'm going to clean out the little front garden in front of the dining room window.)

Today in addition to the roast beef sandwiches, we will also be serving hot Portuguese sausage and bean soup (Hawaiian style), more crusty bread to sop up the tasty broth, fresh fruit salad and creme caramel.

There's plenty of seating poolside and you can imagine that you are in the islands, soaking up the sun...

It's lunch time here, and I think I'll have a repeat of yesterday's menu. A roast beef sandwich au jus on crusty bread would really hit the spot. Oh, and don't forget the horseradish sauce! For afters I think I'd like some chocolate peanut butter pie. Yum!

Then a nap in the sun by the pool sounds good. It's cloudy again here, so some sunshine is just the thing. Need to work on my vitamin D to stay healthy!
