OK, dinner tonight:

Goat cheese salad with toasted French bread
Roast guinea fowl with mash and green beans
Mousse au chocolat

Free wine as it's Monday and we all need a little something on Mondays.

Is there any other kind?

Cybertips are gratefully received by the way.

Dinner menu tonight is:

fish soup with croutons and aioli and grated cheese
confit duck with potatoes fried in duck fat and roasted tomatoes
very smelly goat cheese
creme caramel

It's take it or leave it, this is a bare bones operation, but we do wine by the jug for poor people and champagne by the glass for the richer ones.

Eabl and Choowy, since you two are now my regulars, would you mind inviting a few friends along? I need to build up the business a bit.

Jodrox, can I get you another?

Thank you, a complimentary glass of champagne would be wonderful. However, since it's now breakfast time here, maybe I should ask to have a little orange juice mixed in. Oh, and a lemon scone would go well with that mimosa.

I'll bring you the lot on a 'waiter's friend'. And get the waiter and his friend to bring you another trayful. Since it's you would you like a glass of champagne with that, on the house?

By the way we start serving breakfast in just over an hour's time.

It's tea time here, so I'll have a pot (cream and sugar please), with some scones, lemon curd, and cream. Oh, and some of those lovely sandwiches (crustless, of course). Let's see, it appears you have curried egg salad (oh, curried egg mayo? - okay), and smoked salmon and cucumber. I'll have some of those as well. That's your dessert tray? My, those petits fours look wonderful - I'll have the chocolate, please. Or maybe the jam tarts - those look good too. Wait - is that cake? Maybe you could just leave the tray?

I've never seen a raspberry religieuse, what do you think this is? Pierre Herme?

If you're good I'll make a flan aux framboises tomorrow.

The great thing about this cafe is there are no calories in anything here and you are positively encouraged to gorge on sticky buns.

Let me get you some extra parmesan for the spag bol, we don't want you stinting yourself.

Choowy, tell your husband if he doesn't stop you'll waste away to skin and bone and I'm sure he wouldn't want that.

Now, I've got some nice religieuses, anyone want one? Coffee or chocolate flavour?

TACDGB I'm afraid it will have to be full fat coke, we don't serve diet coke here. It's not self-indulgent enough.

Julia, if you don't make your mind up soon it will be a banana split without the banana but with extra cream and an oreo milkshake.

I've just got up and I'll have a Full English Breakfast, so porridge with brown sugar, then bacon, fried egg, two sausages, black pudding, fried tomatoes, mushrroms, fried slice and as a concession to the fact that this site is American, baked beans and hash browns. And toast. Hold the marmalade, I can't stand the stuff.

And coffee.

They are seriously heavenly, but watch out for the little cookie crumbs that will lodge themselves between your teeth! Worth the drawback, though... :::sigh:::
