'Inch by inch, life's a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard.'" "Finish each day and be DONE with it. You have DONE what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

This is the 4th or 5th time I'm reading this series. It's my absolute favorite! It's in the genre of paranormal / urban fantasy and she is an amazing writer. She also writes the Highlander series that ties into this series.
A Time for Peace by Barbara Cameron; the 3rd and last book of the Quilts of Lancaster series. I'm going to miss the characters! This one is very good, just started it last night and halfway through it. I was even reading during the commercials when I was watching tv last night.
My name is Shari; I have been a Sparker since July 2006, I am now in hospice care for metastatic breast cancer, but I'm not letting cancer stop me from Sparking!
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

I am reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. This series was recommended by someone I just met and although it is different than what I usually read, I am enjoying it thouroughly. Probably will get the next book in the series when I finish the 2 other books I have waiting in line. *S*
Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much.
I want to be an outrageous old woman, who never gets called an old lady. I want to become leaner and meaner, sharp edged and earth colored, till I just fade away from pure joy!

I humbly submit my book, ThinStead, for your consideration.
In it, I share my struggles with weight and how I was finally able to achieve permanent weight loss. For me, that meant overcoming my emotional eating. I used to be addicted to pasta and other starchy foods in a big way. I could easily eat two large helpings for dinner while I watched TV. It seemed that there was always this undercurrent of anxiety I was trying to escape from. Now I'm down 30 lbs and still losing. But more importantly, it just feels good to finally be happy and in control of what I choose to eat for a change.
In my book, I share the very same techniques I used to release the negative emotions that were causing my food addictions. ThinStead also contains my clients' stories of their own journeys, as well as numerous helpful exercises to root out and release the negative emotions and memories which cause food cravings, and even tips on lifestyle and diet. Writing this book was a complete labor of love, because of how much it meant to me personally.
So if the subject of cravings, emotional eating or food addiction resonates with you, I would invite you to read my book. The process will require some self-reflection on your part, but if you stick with it, you can finally have mastery over food and achieve permanent weight loss. But best of all, you'll be happier and more peaceful too. It worked for me, and I want to share it with everyone who may be struggling with weight. Thank you.
