× You've made the appropriate changes to your diet, started a fitness routine, celebrated the first few pounds falling off, but then, suddenly, the scale stops moving. Sound familiar? When the scale refuses to budge, it can be easy to get discouraged and throw in the towel. But it is important to stay the course, no matter what the scale says. Throughout the next 30 days, we will work to bust through that plateau and discover the healthy individual inside!

Rest for Success

After those first few pounds come off the scale, it is easy to get excited and push yourself to exercise even harder to keep your momentum going. There is a fine line between challenging yourself and going overboard, though, and understanding where that line lies could help you break through your plateau. To ensure that you are getting the most out of each workout, be sure to schedule at least one or two rest days per week and never do too much too soon. Remember, the rest of the pounds will come off in due time! Today, write a blog post reflecting on your current exercise schedule and see if there are changes you can make to optimize your workouts.
