The harder I try

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

Why is it in life that the harder you try, the more roadblocks come along. I want so much to get routines going in my life - exercise - eating right - personal goals - keeping my family (as in kids and hubby and self) going along in good order. My brother (the biological father of who is now my youngest son) is acting up again - giving my parents major grief who then in turn come to me. My DH's step dad is very ill and we had to go spend a week with him, moving him to a nursing home, closing his apartment up etc, my niece is still going through her chemo, we got audited at one of our businesses - all in the last 2 weeks. I just can't seem to find the time to do the things I need to do. Gosh I sound whiny!

You poor thing! I know what its like as a crisis hit me back in 1988. I had to quit my job because with all the problems I had panic attacks. I stayed home a year, started taking classes and got a degree in Human Services. I started a new job after this and worked for Public Health as an RN for 16 years. As it turned out leaving my 1st job was a good thing. We don't know why everything goes wrong at once but sometimes it makes us stronger as we learn many lessons along the way.

You aren't whining you are venting which is a good thing. If you don't vent you blow up. Hang in there everything will work out eventually.

    Good Luck!

My good friend sent these thoughts to me and now they are on my Spark page.
You can take these and fit them into your life however (or not). Keep your chin up. Hopefully you find the relief your looking for.

It takes commitment, time, thought, and planning to be... (healthy, fit, happy, add whatever you want)

good health and weight control take time and consistent effort

success comes from work and consistent effort

you can lose inches and not see a difference on the scale

and my favorite, be patiently consistent
