Oh, I do believe this one!!! I feel better after I have had a good belly laugh, that leaves me weak and clutching my stomach because it hurts!!! My family is big on jokes and laughter, even in tragedy. It's how we survive and support each other. I did the eulogy for my youngest brother's funeral and left them laughing, with tears in their eyes, copying his rendition of a Scotsman, accent and all. I knew that Craig would have wanted that, he was always cracking jokes and clowning around. And when I gave birth to my daughter, knowing that she was dead, my whole family was there, supporting and holding my hand, and often making me laugh with their jokes and stories. For many reasons, I will never forget that day, but when my dad asked the nurse if she had ever run over a pig..??!??! We laughed so hard, even though he didn't get why... Poor Daddy was stressed out. But always, for me, laughter means love and support.
