What a difference a month makes...

Holy cow, I've been kicking some ass! It's amazing, when I do what I'm supposed to, and don't veer off track for more than an evening indulgence (why can't alcohol be calorie free?) every so often, the scale goes down. I'm about 5 weeks into this and am so happy to have shed 8 lbs. That's 1.6 lbs per week! Go me!

It's amazing how easy it's gotten. I look forward now to my cardio (most days) instead of dreading it. 1200-1500 calories is completely adequate and filling, and I find myself ADDING light snacks at night now to keep myself in my range. Why didn't I do this sooner when I had so much less to lose? Argh!

Well, if I can keep that up, I'll be at 210 by the end of the year. I haven't seen that weight since Starve-kins in 2002! We do have moving coming up which might throw a wrench in things transitioning from working out at the apartment gym to buying an eliptical machine at the house (or using the crap gym at work in a pinch), but only I make those choices and I'll do what I have to do to stay workout-ing.

Shame I really hate walking - we're moving to an awesome neighborhood. At least once we're in the house I can dance dance revolution which is the best workout ever, and try some yoga! Gotta get my elipse time in though - I heart my 35 minute 450-475 calorie burnfests! I'd have to walk for like 2.5 hours to get that burn and my ankles just won't let me run (yet).

Cheers to checking in next month at another 8lb loss, that would rock!
