ok, things I am trying to do & good to know things

Saturday, June 12, 2021

Well, I joined the new Spark. not too impressed yet but it is still in beta. VERY unhappy that it is only for USA, but hubby tried a little trick. He turned on his VPN to make the webpage think he was in Asia, then tried to set up a page using a randomly selected US zipcode (I think he used Chicago) well, it worked, sooooo.......workaround?

now as for it not accepting certain emails.. use the link directly from the article

ok, now, I also have accounts at myfitnesspal, cronometer, fatsecret, and my Mi fit (goes with the wrist band but not required to have for forums. (It does have a friends function but have not figured it out yet)

Everywhere I am Wildkat781 so my friends can find me.

Not sure where I will end up

I am screenshotting all my friends pages so I can remember who is who, I am horrible at remembering things

I like SparkAmerica so far, and YES, people should use a VPN. I understand why people are so upset that they're being "left out," but once you take out the personal feeling about it, really, this is the easiest part to overcome. I hope to see lots of our foreign friends living in, um, "Lexington, KY," and "Buffalo, NY" and "Chesapeake, VA." =)

I cannot find a way to search for people or keywords on fatsecret, other than using google which gives 10 million results, but I did find the Sparkle group YAY I don't like that it's kind of all or nothing - i can share my weight, eating and journal (blog) ...or not, no in between, say, if you want to keep your weight private. (at least I haven't found a way to do it yet)

MFP has teams and blogs and message forum (discussion boards) and it's been pretty easy to find people and I like the blogging setup although it's hard to find a person's blog without scrolling through pages -

I think everybody should sign up on SP360 using 90210 as their zip code and freak out the algorithm emoticon emoticon

Thanks for passing on the info.
I liked being part of SparkPeople.
I've found something else to take its place.

I am dropping Cronometer as I couldn't navigate it as well as MFP. I am also on SparkAmerica and will be setting it up later. Wanting to get my blogs I wish to save off in a file. I have been on SP for almost 12 yrs. so there are lots of them to look at.

    Thanks for the info.

I set up a group on Fatsecret named Sparkle and Shine. It is not very user friendly that I can see. I am really having a problem getting my forum info to post and the ability to follow people. Today I haven't been able to follow any new joiners. This will be a huge problem if this doesn't correct itself. I can't find any link to contact the site's tech people. I am Speded2 on the Spark360 and Fatsecret. More resources coming in a couple of months, so hoping for something similar to SP, but there's been no mention of a community for members. Eons ago, I had an account on myfitnesspal, but stopped using it when I discovered SP. Back to square one again.

I started a page in Word with user names and the personal email addresses they provided. This is so crazy. What a week it has been. emoticon emoticon
