Today was a Costco Day. I discovered that seniors could actually get a head start on shopping so that was a boon. However the farrier showed up 15 minutes early so I rushed to get cold stuff in freezer and fridge. We got Lady trimmed and I wrestled with an old ewe to get her caught and subdued so her long hooves could be nipped down. Afterwards I compared a couple of very nutritionally similar protein bars for lunch...really not much difference so I will buy the non brand bar next time. I'm liking a bowl of chicken bullion to satisfy the salt craving.
Downton Abbey is much more fun getting to see all the episodes. Of course realizing that I had misplaced the tractor key threw me into a flurry of search behavior...hmm...it was in a place that I had already looked...just not as carefully as I should have. While we have had roughly 3 dry days the ground is still wet...argh...some places more than others. At least I got another couple of swathes off of the ground and noted a variety of spots that just looked like swales.
My Dynatrap is full of small white moths and small house ants that seem to be benefitting from the catch. Out in the yard I applied my Orange Oil/ Dawn detergent X to several fire ant beds.
Lady is out in the barnyard nibbling short grass and Darth, the duck is in the sheepfold having an afternoon siesta...which is looking like a good idea after the news...more rain on tap for the weekend...because 1 month of rain obviously wasn't enough...lol.
