What's The Next Move

Friday, June 04, 2021

My weight is creeping back up. I check it everyday. Oh, there are no surprises. You can't eat a pan of cookies for dinner and pretend you are living a healthy lifestyle. I am literally eating what I can whenever I can. I am perpetually exhausted. My days are so long that I got an ice-cream bar out to eat with the cookies and lost it. I physically lost it in my house because I sat it down, and was too exhausted to remember where it lay melting.

Pep Talk- I can do this. I am capable of doing this. I am not going to allow stress to derail me. emoticon

Plan- I need to prep my food. Late nights, weekend work and I dared go to a cookout this weekend kept me from being prepared. I must have my food ready. emoticon

Ask for help- The kids bring foods in that I don't normally eat. However, when I am tired I will eat anything ESPECIALLY all the goodies lying around. emoticon

Water- I have been skimping on my water intake throughout the day for fear of having to stop. I MUST schedule 10 min breaks to stretch. This is my health and I decided when I started this journey that I AM A PRIORITY. emoticon

I have been moving every morning when I get up at 5:30 am. It also forces me to get in bed by 10 pm at the latest because I am just fried. I am checking in on Spark when I can. I think of you often and you are in my prayers (spouses include @RUTHIEBEAR and @1CRAZYDOG )

I just gotta make it to 7/1 with my sanity and sobriety ya'll! And yes, so far the sobriety is in-tack! The jury is still out on the sanity but they haven't taken me away so I'm good for now emoticon

Be gentle with yourself - when you're already stressed, beating yourself up for bumps in your healthy lifestyle journey just makes you feel bad and adds to your stress. You've stayed sober through this stressful time - that's a WIN! You haven't strangled anyone - that's a WIN! You have still been getting in some exercise - that's a WIN! Those small things you ARE able to do, even in the middle of this stressful time, move you closer to your goals.

One. day. at. a. time, 25 to go until 7/1. Be kind to yourself, consider easy healthy frozen meals that you can quickly microwave and keep drinking water, lots of water. Don't let your water bottle leave your side! emoticon

Just stay strong. DId you try intermittent fasting? That’s what I am doing now, the second month. I would not eat added sugar, but daily some fermented food, I prefer sauerkraut. This exchanged my guts bacteria for the good ones. Means - I have no cravings at all. I have no hunger, I eat two meals per day. I am tall, so I eat 1500 kcal daily and am able to exercise. Giving up added sugar made the difference fo rme. Try to destress by night strength exercise. It helps me and I can better sleep. All the best, Sypress. emoticon

Have you ever tried Heakthy Choice Steamers frozen dinners? OK not like home cooking but not bad, decent nutrition and ready in microwave in 5 minutes. When working long hours they saved me many a time from eating a bag of oreos.
Hang in there, July is coming!

    Hi,
I just had to write you and say thank you for being so honest. I too am in the same spot with you after I was so successful keeping it off for 3 years.
I have told myself it is only this 1 bite or poor choice and it will be okay since I do not do it "all the time".
Well, that is just not true, Yes, I do it all the time and yes I did it all the time until I just quit looking at the scale and I am now up 20 pounds.
I am excited to follow your journey and encourage you to not be too hard on yourself.
    1. You are not the only 1 in this spot
    2. You are being honest with yourself
    3. You have people here on SP who will walk with you through this

Praying His blessing and His peace over your mind right now.

Awww, thanks in the midst of all YOUR chaos to find time for prayers for my DH. THANK YOU.

You can do this. It's so hard in the midst of chaos to have our health as a priority. BUT you have a plan.

    HUGS and prayers for YOU!

Please take care of your sanity and health; my doctor once told me that stress can make you sick. I was where you are Oct to Dec 2020; I tried to take relaxing breaks but my job was too hectic, even though I was working from home. I know you know what to do, just take deep breathes and clam your mind. You are in my prayers as I feel your pain; keep thinking about 7/1. emoticon

You are doing what you can in a difficult situation, and you are staying aware of your goals and where you want to be. No one can ask more of you! Hugs and peace ~ Lynn

We were never sane to begin with, so nothing to lose. LOL. After 7/1, you will be making up for lost time and back on track. I would bet on it. Please take care.

I can't see you still have your sanity because I understood every word you said! ... Am I right to say you are burning the candle at both ends and there is extra under pressure at work still? ... I hope things change for you soon because being exhausted all the time is awful! .. I hope life improves for you soon so you can get back on track where you were not very long ago! .... ((hugs))
