Focused - Picking up Steam

It's been about two weeks since I last blogged. I've done quite a bit to keep my train steady on the track and am starting to pick up steam.


I guess when I think about it, a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks that could have thrown me off course but I didn't let it.

I've emptied out my home office. The room has been painted and new carpet laid. I've had an office buildout done so I can work from home comfortable and afterwards work on my ancestry and keep everything organized and put away. Also have more storage for clothes and kitchen things. There was a lot of schedule changes due to a covid scare at one company and the dates moved a couple of times. I am so happy that I was able to get everyone coordinated. I was stressed but I didn't let myself give in to the stress or disrupt my momentum.

I started tracking my food on a new app, Lose it! I like it and it's keeping me on track. it provides additional data analysis, which is up my alley.

I've been planning lunch and dinner each day in the morning. Lunches are hard for me. If I don't have a plan, I usually eat something quick like a sandwich and then am hungry an hour later or bored will eating it. emoticon

I've amped up my workouts. Throwing strength training in every other day, using my heavy weights most of the exercises. emoticon

The scale has reacted positively the last two weeks as well. emoticon
I try not to get hung up on the scale and concentrate on how my clothes fit.

NSV for the time was not eating out when stressed and not giving in to my lack of desire to get out of bed and workout. emoticon
